More than two dozen students of New Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia university today left for the Aligarh Muslim University to lend their support to agitating students.

A few student leaders have reached Allahabad to register a case against the Aligarh Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in the high court.
The students allege that the Aligarh incident took place because of the carelessness of the current SSP and the police authorities.
Jamia student leader Mirhan Haidar is leading the group of students of the university.
The row is over presence of Muhammad Ali Jinnah's portrait in the student's union office of Aligarh Muslim University.
