Trudeau is scheduled to visit the Golden Temple today
Ending days of uncertainty, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will finally receive Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Amritsar on Wednesday.
The decision came after an initial reluctance over the fear of Khalistan issue re-stirring.
Singh took to Twitter and announced his decision to meet Trudeau following persistent requests from the visiting delegation.
The state CM also expressed hope that the meeting would strengthen the close Indo-Canadian business ties as well as the deep-rooted people-to-people relations.

Justin Trudeau on Tuesday reiterated Canada's commitment to one united India and said his government was serious about cracking down on extremism.
Previously, Singh had accused Indian-origin members of Trudeau’s cabinet of maintaining links with Sikh separatists.
Last year, Singh had refused to meet the Canadian defence minister Harjit Sajjan on the same grounds.
Trudeau, who arrived in India on Saturday, is on a week-long state visit to the country.
He is scheduled to visit the Golden Temple today.
