Actor Vicky Kaushal is set to star in Mahavatar, an upcoming mythological film directed by Amar Kaushik. The makers of the film, Maddock Films took to Instagram to announce the film with the other details on Wednesday (Nov 13).
The first look of the film was revealed in two photos. Showing Vicky Kaushal in a brief clip and pictures. Kaushal will be seen in an intense look. In the announcement poster, he is seen wearing a dhoti and carrying an axe; while he looks angry and fierce as per the theme of the film and the character he is playing.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the film is set to feature Vicky Kaushal as one of the Chiranjeevi’s – Parashurama who is also known as the eternal warrior of dharma. Mahaavatar will release on Christmas 2026.

Vicky's second film with Maddock
Vicky Kaushal will also be seen in Maddock’s upcoming film Chhaava. So far, it is set to be released on December 6, 2024. In this period drama, Vicky is playing the great Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. It was directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan.
Apart from these films, Vicky will be seen in the much-awaited Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
