The release date of Abhishek Chaubey highly anticpated film 'Sonchiriya' has been pushed three weeks ahead of its original date and will now release on 1st March. The film was earlier scheduled to release on 8th February. 

The film's leading lady, Bhumi Pednekar made the announcement on Instagram on Teusday. 

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film directed by Abhishek Chaubey is set in the 1970s showcasing a small town ruled and dominated by dacoits. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana along with Pednekar. 

The film has been shot in the Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh and Rajput, Bajpayee and Pednekar underwent physical transformation to look their part in the film.
