South Korean actor Park Hae Soo has stepped into a joyful new chapter in his personal life. The Squid Game star and his wife have officially welcomed their second child, a healthy baby boy, on August 23, 2026.
His agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed the news in a public statement, reassuring fans that both the mother and the newborn are doing well. According to a report by The Chosun Daily, a representative shared, “Park Hae Soo’s second son was born yesterday. He is currently by his wife’s side, and both the mother and the baby are in good health.”

Park Hae Soo tied the knot with his non-celebrity wife in January 2019. The couple welcomed their firstborn son in 2021, and with their latest arrival five years later, they have officially become a family of four.
The 45-year-old actor previously surprised fans by announcing the pregnancy during an emotional moment at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 31. While accepting his first Best Actor trophy for his performance in the crime-thriller series The Scarecrow, he turned his speech into a heartfelt tribute to his family.
“Our son's name is Chukbok-i, and he always brings blessings to me,” he shared on stage before addressing his wife directly. “My beloved wife is probably even more nervous than me right now watching from home — I love her. Daddy won an award. I love you too, our second blessing.”

Explaining his decision to reveal the news on stage, Hae Soo later told Sports Chosun that he had kept the early stages of the pregnancy private out of caution and wanted to use the platform to share the joy with everyone at once.

Hae Soo recently gained critical acclaim for his role in the non-linear K-drama The Scarecrow, inspired by the infamous Hwaseong serial murders. He portrayed Kang Tae Joo, a former homicide detective turned criminal profiler who revisits a cold case alongside Lee Hee Joon and Kwak Sun Young.
Looking ahead, the actor maintains a busy lineup. He is set to star in Netflix’s upcoming crime thriller Paper Man as Oh Seung Eop, the First Deputy Director of the Anti-Counterfeiting Division at the Korea Mint, alongside Jo Jung Suk and Claudia Kim. Additionally, he will appear in the upcoming titles The Great Bang Ok Sook and Sad Tropics.
