Parineeti Chopra opens up on breakup: I was a mess, it was the worst time in my life

As we gear up for her next film ‘Jabariya Jodi’ with Siddharth Malhotra, actress Parineeti Chopra has opened up about her personal life in an interview. She spoke about going through a breakup without taking the name of her ex and said that she was in a “mess”.

Parineeti was quoted, "I have gone through one big heartbreak and I think it'll be the only one. Honestly, I was a mess. It was the worst time in my life because I had not seen any kind of rejection till then. I needed my family the most."

She did, however, mention that the breakup helped her in some ways and added, "But if anything changed in terms of maturity, it's all because of that. I thank God for giving me that phase early on in my life.”

Parineeti has been linked with assistant director Charit Desai for some time. On the affair, Parineeti said, "I like to keep some mystery around it. I don't like to confirm or deny it."

Meanwhile, her film Jabariya Jodi will be around forced marriages by kidnapping a groom, that has been prevalent in some pockets of Bihar. The film will release on August 9.

She is also working on a biopic on shuttler Saina Nehwal.
