Trouble looms large on “Ketamine Queen” Jasveen Sangha and Dr Salvador Plasencia, who are accused of supplying drugs to Friends actor Matthew Perry which led to his death because of overdose. Matthew Perry died on October 28, 2023 and left the world in a state of shock.

According to official reports, a court date has been set for the trial of Jasveen and Salvador. 

If found guilty, the duo could face several decades in prison. At the time of the filing, both entered not-guilty pleas.

The case is built on the premise that the two took advantage of Matthew Perry’s drug addiction. The US Attorney Martin Estrada wrote in legal filings that the “Ketamine Queen” and Dr. Salvador Plasencia “took advantage of Mr. Perry’s addiction issues to enrich themselves.”

The date for their joint trial has been set for March 4, 2025, in the US. 

Jasveen Sangha and the doctor were arrested on August 15 for one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Dr Salvador Plasencia faces one more charge for one count of possession with intent to distribute ketamine, five counts of distribution of ketamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises.

The doctor is also facing seven counts of distribution of ketamine and two counts of altering and falsifying documents or records. 

According to court documents, “If convicted of all charges, Sangha would face a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison and a statutory maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Plasencia would face up to 10 years in federal prison for each ketamine-related count and up to 20 years in federal prison for each records falsification count.”
