Kate Middleton, Prince William ‘touched’ by support received after her cancer diagnosis: Palace

Kate Middleton and Prince William are thankful for the love and support they have received after making the Princess of Wales' cancer diagnosis public. A day after Kate's video message was shared, a Kensington Palace spokesperson said that the future king and queen are touched by the response they have received from people around the globe.
In a statement on Saturday (March 23), a Kensington Palace spokesperson said, "The Prince and Princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the U.K., across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal Highness’ message."
"They are extremely moved by the public’s warmth and support and are grateful for the understanding of their request for privacy at this time," the spokesperson added.
After the news of Kate's diagnosis of an undisclosed type of cancer was revealed, support messages from world leaders, including celebrities, were shared.

Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis
Kate Middleton'smysteriousabsence from public appearances since her abdominal surgery in January had triggered a lot of questions from the public. This has been the point of discussion for over a month till, on March 22, Kate herself came out, revealing her cancer diagnosis.
In January, Kensington Palace shared the news of abdominal surgery without revealing the exact reason forher surgery. Kate has not shared what kind of cancer was detected in tests after the surgery.

In the video message, Kate said that her diagnosis has come as a "huge shock". However she and Prince William, "have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.''

"In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous," Princess Kate said in the video. "The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."
