Author Katherine Schwarzenegger is not very happy with the Met Gala 2024 looks. Held annually on the first Monday of May, the charity gala saw some of the biggest stars walk up the stairs in their best attire. While the outfits from the event may have become the talk on the internet, it seems like Katherine is not impressed with what she saw at this year's fashion extravaganza.
On May 6, Katherine's mother Maria Shriver shared her Met Gala 2001 look, recalling the time she attended the charity gala. The carousel showed Maria with her parents and cousin Caroline Kennedy.
Weirdest Met Gala 2024 looks that'll make you look twice
In her caption of the post, Maria wrote, “It’s the first Monday in May and the Met Gala is underway! Things were a little more low key when I attended back in 2001, but I thought I would share some photos from that wonderful night. Not only did I get to wear this beautiful dress, but I got to attend with both my parents, as well as my cousin, Caroline. What do you think: would we rock the red carpet in these same looks tonight?”
In 2001, Maria attended the event wearing a lavender dress.
After Maria shared the post, Katherine went on to re-share it on her Instagram story with a message that led many to think that she did not like the looks this year's guests sported.
She wrote along with Maria's IG post, ''When the Met Gala was chic and classy.'' She deleted her post later.
