Witha bundle of emotions, Inside Out 2 is now the highest-grossing animated movie ever. Disney and Pixar's movies have achieved this milestone surpassing 2019 Frozen II.

Since its release on June 14, the movie has been earning moolah atthe theatres worldwide.

Shattering box office records from day one of its release, the Hollywood animated movie has so far earned $1.462 billion.In the sixth week of its release, the movie surpassedFrozen II overall collection of $1.45 billion.

The film’s domestic box office collection stands at $601 million while the international collection is$861.8 which takes the total collection to over billion dollars.

Celebrating the triumphant success, Pixar wrote, ''We’re filled with Joy! Thanks to every fan around the world for making Inside Out 2 the biggest animated movie of all time.''

The movie, revolving around human emotions, has crossed Greta Gerwig's Barbie($1.446 billion), becoming the13th highest-grossing movies of all time.

Not only this, but the movieis the fastest animated film to cross the $1 billion mark. It earned the billion-dollar title in 19 days.It isalso the highest-grossing movie of 2024 so far.

Now, the movie looksto surpass the $608.6 million earnings of Incredibles 2 at thedomestic box office and become the all-time highest-grossing animated movie.

The success of Inside Out 2has brought much-needed light and energy to Pixar, which has struggled with box office numbers despite several critically acclaimed movies in recent years.

Nearly ten years after the release of the predecessor,Inside Out 2 takes the audience back to the emotionsofRiley, who is a teenager now. The movie revolves around her 13-year-old mindset as she enters high school and faces newchallenges andemotions including anxiety and envy.

Directed by Kelsey Mann, the sequel delves deeper into the human emotions. "Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who've long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren't sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment show up," read the film's synopsis.
