Deadpool & Wolverine: Ryan Reynolds teases new content ahead of trailer launch

Deadpool & Wolverine

Fans have been waiting eagerly for this collaboration. Ryan Reynolds sharednew posters and an old video of him as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, just a day before the trailer launch of their film together.

Releasing a teaser for the upcoming trailer of Deadpool & Wolverine, Reynolds hinted at the showdown brewing between him and frenemy Logan. Logan may have died in the 2017 film but will be 'messing up' the timeline as he comes back in the new film.

Reynolds shared a video of the two and said that it took a lot of 'begging' to finally make his Deadpool 2 end-credit dreams come true.

"It took seven years and a lot of begging but my Deadpool 2 end credit dreams finally came true," the Canadian actor wrote on X as he shared a video of Deadpool's first meeting with Logan.

Formerly illustrated vividly in an extended Deadpool 2 end-credits scene, Wade Wilson is ready to jump back in time to fix a few things.Deadpool & Wolverine will be released on July 26, 2024.

Ahead of its trailer release, Reynolds also shared a new poster for his and Hugh Jackman's film. With dollops of nostalgia, the teaser refers to Jackman's 2017 Logan flick, wherein he supposedly hung up the claws, making “a lot of people very sad.”

Ryan also shared a movie poster in which Deadpool reaches out to Wolverine's famous claws in the most Deadpool-esque erotic signature style.

“Hugh got his nails done for this,” he captioned the poster on his social media.

Director Shawn Levy, who co-wrote the film alongside Reynolds, has urged fans not to call the forthcoming MCU film aDeadpool 2 sequel. He told Screen Rant that even though it is the third Deadpool movie, it's a different thing “that's very much Deadpool and Wolverine. And it's not trying to copycat anything from the first two movies.”

"It's the thirdDeadpoolmovie, but it's notDeadpool 3," he said.
