Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Devara Part 1 is all set to grace the silver screen in two weeks. On Monday, the makers of the film launched the film's trailer at a grand event in Mumbai. The event was attended by the film's cast and crew.

The film tells the tale that turned the sea red, according to the synopsis. It has intense action sequences and an emotional storyline. Jr NTR will be seen in a dual role in the film as Vara and Deva. Saif will play Baira while Janhvi will play Jr NTR's love interest. 

The trailer opens with the introduction of a group of people who everyone fears. When one person asks another - who they are - the latter mentions a gang led by Saif Ali Khan’s character. He says, “There was no caste; no religion. Fear was something they never knew.”

He adds at the end, “Eyes that knew nothing but courage, for the first time ever, were filled with fear,” hinting at an impending showdown.

The trailer further warns, “It’s the story of Red Sea written in blood,” as we are introduced to Devara. “As long as you exist, this mountain shall obey only your orders,” Saif’s character says, referring to Devara. Check it out below!

In a statement, Janhvi Kapoor previously reflected on her south debut and said, “Somehow it makes me feel closer to my mom, to be in that environment, as well as to hear and speak in that language. It just felt like it was the right time, I felt I was gravitating towards it.”

Scheduled for release on September 27, Devara: Part 1 is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts and presented by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. In addition to NTR Jr., Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain in pivotal roles. While initially intended as a standalone film, Devara will be released in two parts.
