It is a story that revolves around him and he delivers to his part. His portrayal of Devara is larger than life- typical to films of this genre in the South Indian film industry. Complementing him is actor Saif Ali Khan who makes his Telugu debut with the film. Khan has by now, aced the role of playing the antagonist in multiple films. While the characters he plays are all in the shades of grey, Khan does manage to make them all look different in film after film. His Bhairava is a man who has grown resentful over some time and who now knows nothing but revenge.&nbsp;<br />

The film's first half is promising with multiple mid-sea action sequences. Lots of action and a cohesive storyline. The camera work by R Rathnavelu is also impressive, who paints the screen in shades of golden and brown- giving it a rustic, vintage feel.&nbsp;</p>

The film, however, loses steam in the second half and one gets impatient by the time the story reaches its climax. It, of course, ends on a cliffhanger and makes way for part 2 but the second half is so underwhelming that the ending doesn't leave you curious much.&nbsp;<br />

While the story presents the men as brave fighters, the women are almost like props. Some are there to further the narrative - like Zarina Wahad as Devara's mother and Shruti Marathe as his wife. Kapoor, who has in a short period, made a mark in Bollywood with author-backed roles, falls into the formulaic role in her south debut.&nbsp;<br />

It is slightly alarming to see Kapoor play a very sexually charged woman who simps her future father-in-law slightly and constantly talks about getting turned on by men who flex muscles. I mention the term alarming because Kapoor has already done female-centric films like<em> Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Mili, </em>and the recent <em>Ulajh </em>in Bollywood. All presenting strong women on screen. To see her in Devara in a character that completely objectifies her is slightly unsettling.&nbsp;<br />

<p>The two reached their polling booth pretty early to avoid traffic and huge crowds which might disrupt voting given their star power. JR NTR was accompanied by his wife, Lakshmi Pranathi, and his mother, Shalini Nandamuri.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Videos of the two actors standing in a queue at their polling booths in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad are now going viral on social media.</p>

Quashing all rumours of his support or affiliation to any political party, Allu said, "I am not affiliated to any party. I am neutral. I will support all who are close to me. My uncle, my friend and my father-in-law are all in politics. Regarding the Nandayala campaign, I had given my word to my friend long back. It was a goodwill gesture. <p><em>RRR</em> star Jr NTR returned to India on Tuesday from quake-hit Japan and wished for the country's swift recovery. A series of powerful earthquakes hit the island country on Monday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The quakes struck the western region of Japan, leaving at least eight people dead and damaging buildings, vehicles and boats, with officials warning people in some areas on Tuesday to stay away from their homes because of a risk of more strong quakes.<br />

Jr NTR, who spent the last week in Japan, in a post on X said that he was "deeply shocked" by the earthquakes in the country.</p>

<p>JR NTR attained international acclaim after he featured in the Telugu blockbuster <em>RRR</em> co-starring Ram Charan. The film had emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film upon its release in Japan in 2022. The SS Rajamouli directorial had raised over 410 million yen (Rs 240 million approximately) at the Japanese box office.<br />

Jr NTR, who spent the last week in Japan, in a post on X said that he was "deeply shocked" by the earthquakes in the country. "Back home today from Japan and deeply shocked by the earthquakes hitting. Spent the entire last week there, and my heart goes out to everyone affected. The film had emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film upon its release in Japan in 2022. The SS Rajamouli directorial had raised over 410 million yen (Rs 240 million approximately) at the Japanese box office. On Monday, the quakes, the largest of which had a magnitude of 7.6, also started a fire and collapsed buildings on the west coast of Japan's main island, Honshu, causing the country to drop its highest-level tsunami alert after issuing one following a series of major earthquakes.
