Meet the new Miss Universe! Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark has been crowned Miss Universe 2024. Making history, she's the first woman from Denmark ever to win the prestigious beauty pageant.

The 21-year-old Victoria won the title after an intense competition, with 125contestants from across the globe in the race to claim the title.

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig is the new Miss Universe!

The73rd Miss Universe competition was heldon Saturday night inArena CDMX in Mexico City on 16November 2024.

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios, at the event that took place in Mexico City on Saturday. Dubbed the "Human Barbie" for her uncanny resemblance to thefamous doll, Victoria looked resplendent in a shiningpink gown that perfectly suited the public title that was given to her.

After Theilvig, the queens who impressed the jury with their grace, talent and sharp minds were Miss Nigeria and Miss Mexico. The second position was secured by Miss Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina, followed by Miss Mexico María Fernanda Beltrán Figueroa, who was thesecond runner-up.

In the final round, all thetop five contestants were asked, "Miss Universe has inspired generations of women. What is your message to the women watching you right now?"

Responding to this,Theilvig said, "No matter where you come from, no matter your past, you can always choose to turn it into your strengths.It will never define who you are. You just gotta keep fighting."

"I stand here today because I want to change, I want to make history, and that's what I'm doing tonight," she added. "So, never give up, always believe in yourself and your dreams, and that is exactly what you're going to do."

India at Miss Universe

Rhea Singha was representing India in the 73rd Miss Universe competition. Unfortunately, she was not able to make it to top 12 participants.Harnaaz Sandhuwas the last Indian to win theMiss Universe after 21 years in 2021. Before her, Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta won the prestigious title.
