It was a rendezvous of giants as Kamal Haasan met up with ace director Alfonso Cuaron in Chennai. The veteran actor hosted the Mexican filmmaker over lunch. Guests like newly engaged couple Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth too were spotted at the meet.In a picture that has now gone viral on social media, all the guests can be seen smiling for the camera.
Others who were a part of the meet were Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman.

Kamal Haasan shared pictures from the meet on his Instagram. He welcomed Alfonso in the caption that read, “Met Mr. Alfonso Cuarón my brethren and an offspring from the same mother “cinema”. We spoke cinema, cinema and more cinema. I shared my joy over lunch along with the seasons mangoes and some of my fraternity Mr. Mani Ratnam, Mr. A.R.Rahman, Mr.Ravi K Chandran, Mr. Mahendran, Mr. Narayanan, Ms.Aditi Rao Hydari, Mr.Siddharth and Ms.Amritha.”
As soon as the picture came on social media, fans started pouring their comments with one writing, “Alfonso Cuarón (crying and heart emojis)". Another wrote, “Something is cooking (camera emoji).”

Alfonso Cuaron’s works
Alfonso's first big-screen project was the Mexican rom-com Sólo con tu pareja. He also directed Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson in pivotal characters.
Alfonso won the Best Director and Best Film Editing Oscar for Sandra Bullock-George Clooney starrer sci-fi thriller Gravity. For Roma, he won Oscars in Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best International Feature Film.

Meanwhile, Kamal will next be seen in S Shankar's Indian 2. The movie is set to release in June 2024. He will also collaborate with Mani Ratnam on Thug Life. He also has Kalki 2898 AD with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
