Allu Arjun reveals Pushpa 2: The Rule will have a delayed release

So the rumours were true! Allu Arjun just confirmed that his upcoming flick Pushpa 2 is postponed, something that netizens have been talking about on social media platforms. The much-awaited thriller was scheduled to release on August 15 but now the film has been pushed to December.
The news of the film getting postponed was announced by Allu who shared a new poster from his film. In the picture, Pushpa Raj is seen wearing a grey t-shirt, a brown shirt over it with a matching bandana on his head. Swinging a sword in one hand that rests on his shoulder, Allu looks into the camera in the poster as the caption reads: “#Pushpa2TheRule in cinemas from December 6th, 2024.”
August 15 is a busy calendar date for films as many producers want to capitalise on the Indian Independence Day weekend for its releases. Prior to the official announcement, netizens were curious if thePushpa sequel would make it on time since other films had also announced that they were releasing on August 15. Pushpa was earlier slated to clash with Rohit Shetty's Bollywood cop drama Singham Again and Nikkhil Advani's action thriller Vedaa.
In addition, Akshay Kumar-starrer Khel Khel Mein and Puri Jagannadh's sci-fi action film Double iSmart have also been announced to release on August 15.

As of now, Pushpa 2 has been moved to December and Singham Again has shifted to Diwali. Instead, the horror comedy Stree 2 would release on August 15.
Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule is the direct sequel to Sukumar's 2021 Telugu blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. The first part featured Allu Arjun as an anti-hero, Pushpa Raj, and Rashmika Mandanna as his love interest, Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil was introduced at the end of the first film. Pushpa: The Rise also featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the popular dance number "Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava".
