PAK vs USA, T20 World Cup 2026 Match 12: Check live streaming details, head-to-head, pitch & weather report

There’s a twist in the India game boycott saga by Pakistan, and it’s not something most cricket fans expected. The latest report suggests that the concluded tripartite meeting involving representatives from PCB and the BCB (along with the ICC) has demands far more significant than those making headlines. Besides the ‘three demands’ the PCB laid as compensation for accepting ICC’s proposal of overturning its boycott stance (in the T20 World Cup 2026), the two cricket boards (PCB and the BCB) have urged the ICC to hold a tri-series involving Pakistan, Bangladesh and India. While all focus remains on getting all parties involved to come to the same page, the good news is that the matter has reached the Pakistan Prime Minister’s table for a final stamp, and that, the U-turn, the ICC, the broadcasters and importantly the fans were hoping for is likely to take place. A Cricbuzz report claims that following an earlier meeting between Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif and PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi, the official announcement of Pakistan ending its boycott against India could come any time soon, either by the PCB or the ICC, ending the long-standing tiff surrounding the marquee India vs Pakistan match on February 15 in Colombo. Also read | Ponting, Shastri’s blunt admission on Babar Azam: ‘He’s lost a bit of his power’ The report also states that the ICC was firm on its expectation that Pakistan hold no grounds to make any demands and should, in fact, play per the terms of the Members Participation Agreement (MPA) and the pact it signed in December 2024, which saw a hybrid model agreement to stage all India-Pakistan matches at neutral venues.
Tri-series among several demands
Although unverified sources have claimed that Pakistan demanded resumption of bilateral cricket between the two countries, an increase in the revenue share, and an agreement to abide by the handshake policy before and after each game, the ICC cannot assure bilateral or tri-series cricket involving India since it is the BCCI’s prerogative, which further operates under the authority of the Indian government. Also, considering the tense cross-border relations between India and Pakistan, the resumption of bilateral cricket between the two looks unlikely, but India is scheduled to tour Bangladesh in September this year, which also remains under a dark cloud, given the recent episode involving Mustafizur Rahman’s exit from the IPL and Bangladesh’s from the ongoing T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, India and Pakistan have won their respective first games at the T20 World Cup, with the next ones already lined up. Pakistan will face the USA in Colombo on Tuesday (Feb 10), and India will host Namibia two days later on Thursday (Feb 12) in Delhi.

T20 World Cup 2026: Brian Bennett, bowlers power Zimbabwe to 8-wicket win over Oman

Pakistan’s poster boy Babar Azam hasn’t been in the best of form lately, let alone showing glimpses of it in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, and that has been worrying for a lot of people, including former captains and top broadcasters. Against the Netherlands in the tournament opener, Babar scored just 15 off 18 balls during the run chase. Although the Men in Green narrowly won the match, Babar’s timid run with the bat had everyone disappointed. Ricky Ponting and Ravi Shastri assessed his situation. Babar has lost his Midas touch, with Pakistan’s batting suffering big time across formats. Sri Lanka made a winning start to their T20 World Cup campaign as they defeated Ireland in their tournament opener on Sunday (Feb 8) at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Kusal Mendis (56 runs) and Maheesh Theekshana (three wickets) were the stars of the show as Sri Lanka won by 20 runs. The win means Sri Lanka are top of group B and will look to take a step closer towards the Super 8 stage. Batting first, the hosts posted a competitive target, with Kusal Mendis also contributing crucial runs, before a disciplined bowling attack, led by Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga, bundled out Ireland for 143. Soon after Dockrell struck again, dismissing Pavan Rathnayake ( 5 off 9) to put Sri Lanka in a tricky situation at 68/3 after the conclusion ofthe 11th over. Ireland's bowlers continued to keep the Sri Lankan batters in check, restricting boundaries as the scoring rate dipped. Sri Lanka crawled their way to 95/4 by the 15th over.
