Australia’s skipper Mitchell Marsh was seen in ecstatic form in the T20 World Cup on Saturday (June 8) as he made headlines for different reasons against arch-rivals England.
At the T20 World Cup clash between two World Cup champions (ODI and T20), Marsh broke the solar panel as he hit a massive six which left the internet stunned. He was applauded for his efforts while some reckoned he left his mark at the stadium during the match.
Marsh makes his mark
On the fifth ball of the ninth over, Marsh pulled an Adil Rashid delivery for a massive six which went out of the stadium, on its way hitting the roof of the stadium. The stadium roof fitted with solar panels, however, was broken,illustratingthe sheer power of the shot.
Before getting stumped by Jos Buttler in the 14th over, Marsh would score 35 runs off 25 balls on his captaincy debut in an ICC competition.

What happened in Australia’s innings?
Asked to bat first, the pair of David Warner (39) and Travis Head (34) stitched a partnership of 70 runs for the opening wicket.
However, both the batters departed in quick succession, leaving Glenn Maxwell (28) and Marsh in the middle.
Both the batters got starts and steered the Aussies towards a big total, but both were scalped in no time.
Marcus Stoinis (30), Tim David (11) and Matthew Wade (17) would then help Australia get to 201/7 in the 20 overs.
Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers for England as he ended figures of 44/2 in his four overs.
There were wickets for Mooen Ali, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid and Livingstone as England could not stop the Aussies from reaching 200.
At the time of writing, England were 40/0 in four overs and needed 162 runs more to win from 16 overs.
Philip Salt (20) and Jos Buttler (16) were in the middle for the defending champions as they look to lay the foundation for their first win of the T20 World Cup.
