Tamil Nadu offspin-bowling allrounder Washington Sundar received his maiden ODI cap
Sri Lankan skipper Thisara Perera on Wednesday won the toss and chose to bowl against India in the second ODI of the three-match series.
After the toss, stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma said that he too would have opted to bowl first, had he won the toss.
Rohit, leading the side in Virat Kohli's absence, had promised to bounce back after their humiliating loss in the 1st ODI in Dharamsala.

The loss was not just a danger signal for the one-day series but also raised questions about the upcoming series in South Africa, where the conditions won't be great for the batsmen.
For India, Tamil Nadu offspin-bowling allrounder Washington Sundar received his maiden ODI cap. He replaced Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI.
On the other hand, confident Sri Lanka fielded an unchanged side.
