CSK's Tushar Deshpande mocks RCB, shares 'Bengaluru Cant' post after Eliminator defeat
RCB players exult after defeating CSK in the league match
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pace bowler Tushar Deshpande did not leave the opportunity to get even with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after the latter crashed out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday (May 22) against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Deshpande shared an Instagram story mocking the Bengaluru side but later deleted it due to public backlash.
Deshpande, who finished the season with 17 wickets, shared a post by a CSK fan page which had an image of the Bengaluru Cant. Railway Station with the caption, “Nothing just a railway station in Bengaluru!”. The CSK seamer further wrote, “CSK fans are built different” while tagging the account.
Deshpande was clapping back as RCB players had celebrated wildly after defeating CSK in the final league match of the tournament to qualify for the Eliminator. The defeat meant that CSK could not qualify for the playoffs for only the third time in tournament's 17-year history.
However, RCB was criticised post the match as MS Dhoniwalked off the pitch without shaking hands with the Bengaluru players who were oblivious andbusycelebratingthe win.
Videos on social media showed Dhoni waiting for the RCB players to come around and do the obligatory handshake. However, after no one approached him, Dhoni made his way to the dressing room, prompting Virat Kohli to follow him inside and have a chat with the veteran star.

Apart from Deshpande, former CSK batterAmbati Rayudualso hit back at RCB after the loss, stating that defeating the record-time champions was not a guarantee for an IPL trophy.
"If you talk about RCB today, it shows that only passion and aggressive celebrations don't win you trophies. You need to plan. You didn't get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. You have to play with the same hunger," said Rayudu.
"Don't think you will win the IPL trophy just by beating CSK. You will have to come next year once again," he added.
Chasing the modest target of 173 set by RCB, RR qualified for the next knockout match against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) afterRiyan Parag (36) and Shimron Hetmyer (26) stitched a 45-run partnership in the middle to keep RCB at bay.
