The one-off Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand, at the Greater Noida Stadium, has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. So far, the first two days of the Test match resulted in not a single ball being bowled due to the wet outfield and substandard playing conditions. Now, few images showing a staffer using urinal washroom water for cleaning utensils have gone viral.
The image was shared by a user on X, who captioned the post, "Ok so catering here at Greater Noida stadium is using urinal washroom Water tap for their water needs very hygienic."

Notably, the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been severely criticised for below-par infrastructure and lack of proper facilities for spectators. The ground conditions are also not up to the mark, as the second day's play also got cancelled, with not even the coin toss being possible, despite rain staying away for longer periods.
'This is a huge mess, we are never coming back'
Earlier, on Monday (Sep 9), an official from the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), who remained unnamed, stated that the team would never return to the Greater Noida Stadium. Afghanistan play their home games in India due to the war-torn situation back home.
Speaking to PTI, the ACB official said, "This is a huge mess, we are never coming back here. The players are also unhappy with the facilities here. We had spoken with the concerned people well in advance and were assured by the stadium guys that everything will be in order."
