North Korean soldiers have become porn addicts amid Russia-Ukraine war: Report

North Korean soldiers who have been fighting Russia-Ukraine from the side of Moscow have been provided unlimited internet access for the first time which has allowed them to watch a lot of pornography, stated a report which was not confirmed by a Pentagon official.

According to the details of the report published in The New York Post, the soldiers have been engaged in a battle with Ukraine but they are engaging with a very different demon before coming to the battlefield.

According to the Financial Times, the soldiers have remained engaged in this battle since they were granted free use of the internet.

“A usually reliable source tells me that the North Korean soldiers who have deployed to Russia have never had unfettered access to the internet before. As a result, they are gorging on pornography,” said Financial Times foreign affairs commentatorGideon Rachman on X.

Internet habits of 10,000 North Korean soldiers worrisome?

Rachman did not elaborate on how the 10,000 North Korean soldiers' internet habits have come to light. North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong Un had sent soldiersto bolster the war effort of Putin.

Rachman provided no more context on how his source would know the internet habits of the 10,000 North Korean soldierssent by Kim Jong Un to bolster Putin’s war effort.

“As entertaining as that sounds, I can’t confirm any North Korean internet habits or virtual ‘extracurriculars’ in Russia,” said Defence Department spokesperson Army Lt. Col. Charlie Dietz, while speaking to outlet Task and Purpose.

“We’re focused on the more serious aspects of North Korea’s involvement, if any, in Russia’s military operations. As for internet access, that’s a question best directed to Moscow. Right now, our attention remains on supporting Ukraine and addressing the more significant regional security concerns," Dietz added.

According to the military publication, the second-and-third-order effects on psychologically and culturally sheltered North Korean troops' exposure to graphic internet pornography are not known.
