Michael Cline, the founder of online ticketing firm Fandango, jumped off a New York luxury hotel after leaving a heartbreaking suicide note that said he "can't explain the pain". Cline, 64, died on Tuesday (July 16) after jumping from the 20th floor of Kimberly hotel in Manhattan.
What did the suicide note say?
"So sorry. I can't explain the pain of f**ing up this much. I love you all," Cline wrote in the suicide note left in the hotel room located on East 50th street near Lexington Avenue.
According to US media reports, New York Police Department received 911 calls from the 30-storey hotel. Cline was pronounced dead on the spot after emergency medical services arrived.

Fandango is an online film ticket sales company. Besides selling tickets via its website and app, Fandango also runs a streaming digital video store known as Fandango at Home. Fandango also owns Rotten Tomatoes, a website known for is movie and series review aggregation.

Cline, a father of six, is known for founding Fandango, which was later acquired by Comcast. In his decades in the movie and tech industry, Cline had founded multiple startups.

A resident of Palm Beach, Florida, Cline co-founded Fandango with Art Levitt in 1999.
Fandango helped people avoid having to stand in line for tickets, and paved the way for the online ticketing industry, which TechCrunch said is valued at at $37 billion.
Cline left the company in 2011. He was behind several startups like R1 RCM, Accumen, Accolade, Everspring, Dresr and Insureon. He founded the venture capital firm Accretive in 1999.
