At least nine Pakistani soldiers were killed in a deadly militant attack in Balochistan’s Washuk district, officials confirmed on Tuesday. Dozens of militants launched a coordinated assault on a police station and a border force compound. The soldiers were ambushed while responding to the attack. The region has seen a surge in violence in recent months, with various separatist and extremist groups targeting security forces.
