Amid the ongoing angry exchanges between North and South Korea Pyongyang has designated Seoul as a hostile State. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, North Korea confirmed that its newly revised constitution officially designates South Korea as "a hostile state" for the first time. This announcement comes just two days after North Korea destroyed the road and rail links at the border that once connected the two countries.
