Israel has submitted a fresh truce proposal to Egypt, offering a 45-day ceasefire in Gaza if Hamas agrees to release half of the remaining hostages. The deal also includes calls for Palestinian militants to disarm. Hamas, however, has rejected the disarmament demand, complicating ceasefire efforts.
