Four new emperor penguin groups discovered in Antarctica
New satellite imagery has allowed scientists to identify emperor penguin colonies that were previously unknown. When breeding sites are threatened by melting ice due to climate change, at least some emperor penguins are shifting their colonies. The four recently discovered colonies most likely existed for many years, although scientists hadn't previously detected them, according to a British Antarctic Survey statement on Wednesday.
