Euro zone economy weakens in December, set to enter recession

The euro zone may have entered recession in the final months of 2023. That's what the latest economic data from the region indicates. The euro zone economy remained weak in december. The composite index, a gauge of economic health, stood at 47.6. Any number below 50 indicates economic contraction.The services sector index stood at a five-month high of 48.8. But it still remained in the contraction zone.
