<p>According to Britain's Office of National Statistics(ONS), over seven out of ten&nbsp;people in England have had COVID-19 since the pandemic began in 2020.</p>

<p>The agency said 71 per cent citizens living in England were estimated to have contracted the virus between April 2020 and February 2022.</p>

<p>Britain is one of the worst-hit countries hit by the virus with over 22 million cases and over 173,980 COVID-19 deaths in the last two years.</p>

<p>Reacting to the photo, several social media users weighed in, some cracked jokes saying, "hope he does not get an airpods or earbuds this Christmas".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Another user questioned it, saying, "He knows ears serve more purpose than holding on a mask right?"&nbsp;</p>

<p>One person said, "The point is to not look like how you looked before. People that do this many mods are trying to get as far away from how they looked as possible, so they feel relief the more and more different they look."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I also would never do this to this level because I generally like how I look now, but that has not always been the case and I can put myself in someone’s shoes like this and understand," the user added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Let’s start with how this sample was collected. When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin reached the lunar surface back in 1969, Armstrong told the Apollo Mission Control Centre, Houston, Texas, that the sand was “almost like powder”.</p>

<p>As per a report by National Geographic, in 2002 it was discovered that Max Ary, the museum’s co-founder had been smuggling museum artefacts for his personal gain and this bag was one of those items. Ary faced a three-year jail term and a $132,000 fine.</p>

<p>Now comes the wacky part, NASA confirmed that the samples were genuine and refused to return them to Carlson.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She then filed a case against the space agency for wrongful confiscation and that...is how it came to be sold for more than $500,000.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A skydiver described her survival from smashing into the ground as a ''miracle'' after she spiralled from the sky at 125mph.</p>

<p>Jordan Hatmaker had jumped from a plane at the height of 13,500 feet but after 20 seconds she found herself on the ground with a broken leg and an injured spinal cord.</p>

<p>"Everything happened really quickly. I didn't have any thoughts because I was spiralling so I didn't know what was going on, I was just in strategy mode," she told 'The Daily Mirror'.</p>

<p>“I’ve never heard sounds like those come out of my body. I screamed bloodcurdling screams," she told the British daily&nbsp;newspaper.</p>

<p>Jordan said the pilot chute got stuck around her leg and when she tried to free herself her reserve chute was automatically released.</p>

<p>When people saw her lying on the ground they took her to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.</p>

<p>"They [doctors] said we don't know what kind of mobility she's going to have, but they didn't think I was going to be paralysed because I could wiggle my toes."</p>

<p>However, despite sustaining several injuries and being hospitalised for two weeks, the adventure seeker is still optimistic.</p>

<p>"I don't think that you should give up things that you love just because an obstacle was put in your way, life is too short and you should do what makes you happy,'' Jordan said.</p>

<p>"That moment I could only lift it maybe half an inch off the bed but it was just so great to conquer a milestone. It was a sign of progress and I was really thrilled and excited, it just gave me more motivation to keep going.</p>

<p>"I started walking three months to the day of the accident."</p>

<p>According to Jordan, ''It doesn't feel real, it feels so surreal that even happened but I'm thankful that the accident happened.''</p>

<p>''I feel like there's a like lot of growth that came out of it, and I really think there's opportunity in tragedy,'' she added.</p>

<p>The 35-year-old woman, who is from Virginia fell in love with skydiving in 2015. She had jumped from her airplane five times till 2020 itself.</p>

UFO or Russian weapon? Bizarre cloud formation in Alaska ignites social media

<p>Images and videos of Mount Everest, Earth's highest mountain above sea level, keep mesmerising people across the world. But the latest photo shared by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) shows a completely "different perspective".&nbsp;</p>

<p>The space agency posted an image of the highest mountain on Earth taken from the vantage point of space.&nbsp;</p>

<p>NASA revealed that an astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS) has taken this near-nadir (almost straight down) photo of Mount Everest, which towers approximately 8,848 meters above sea level.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As Shanghai battles the Omicron wave amid the lockdown, China's state-run Global Times said authorities had deployed 38,000 health workers during testing which is the largest number of medical aid since the virus broke out in Wuhan over two years ago.</p>

<p>Health officials said that after the sampling, testing and review will take place. The authorities have asked residents to remain at home until test results are announced.</p>

<p>China continues to stick with its "zero-COVID" policy, however, the number of coronavirus cases has reached record levels in the past month surpassing cases recorded two years ago when the virus was first reported in Wuhan. Health officials in Shanghai conducted antigen testing in the city in a bid to cut the transmission chain.</p>

<p>The present wave is being led by the Omicron variant as officials revealed they had detected a new Omicron subtype in Suzhou near Shanghai tentatively calling it BA.1.1.</p>
