<p>Bayard Steed, a historic parade that featured four children riding a giant horse, returned to the streets of Dendermonde as tens of thousands of people flocked to the Belgian town on Sunday (May 29). As media reports mentioned, Dendermonde, the town of the Bayard Steed, is apparently the only place in the world where the heroic horse is the central theme of the colourful parade. It is a pageant with roots in medieval Europe. The unique parade is usually enacted every ten years but due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, it was postponed twice. Known as the 'Bayard Steed', the 4.85-meter-tall wooden figure carried by 12 men had not been shown in public for 12 years. Its last appearance was on May 30, 2010.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The director of the town museums of Dendermonde, Carolien Van Hecke explained that are twelve men who carry the horse and there are three teams of them. She mentioned that they change because the horse is quite heavy. With all the ornaments, the horse weighs 1,000 kilograms.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The horse is 5.2 meters long and made out of wood, iron and other material. It arrived at the town's central square and pranced towards its assailants.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a police count, some 86,000 thousand onlookers witnessed the one-tonne statue crossing the Flemish city. It was 'dancing' to the rhythm of a marching band, accompanied by giant figures, acrobats and some 2,000 actors in historical costumes. The kids dressed as medieval knights.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An adorable video of a dog has surfaced on social media. It is quite unique as in it, the dog can be witnessed delivering a lunch box to his owner at the office. The dog, which is of German Shepherd breed, seems to be travelling for over two km every day, as per the video. The clip is sure to bring a smile on the face of the viewer.&nbsp;It was shared on Instagram around a week ago by a content creator with over 46,000 followers. Till now, the video has got over 10,28,541 likes. It seems to be a simple way to lift the spirits and brighten the day. &nbsp;</p>

<p>In it, the dog can be seen walking on the side of a road. The animal is carrying a lunch box, which is dangling from his mouth. It looks like he is making every attempt to stop it from falling and is on his way to the owner’s office. &nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Serena Viva, an anthropologist at the University in Salento who was on the study’s team, “This could have been the reason for which they waited for it all to finish, maybe in the security of their home, compared to other victims who were fleeing and whose remains were found in open spaces.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>“In the future many more genomes from Pompeii can be studied,” said Viva.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The victims of Pompeii experienced a natural catastrophe, a thermal shock, and it was not known that you could preserve their genetic material. This study provides this confirmation, and that new technology on genetic analysis allows us to sequence genomes also on damaged material.”<br />

The kid falling into a manhole is surely a serious situation for the mom to leap to her baby's rescue. And all of us can rest assured that a mother would NEVER even bat an eyelid before leaping for her child's rescue.</p>

<p>A video showing a courageous British mother saving her son has many remarking on this fact.</p>

<p>Amy Blyth was walking her son, a toddler, through what seemed like a park when he ran a few steps away from his mother probably overjoyed with the greenery around.</p>

<p>The toddler's merriment didn't last long as he ran over a manhole, apparently closed. The lid of the manhole flipped taking Theo (her son) inside the drain.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Without a second's thought, Amy ripped open the lid with all her strength and leaped inside the drain which appears quite deep.</p>

<p>Fortunately, she can be seen emerging&nbsp;with her son.</p>

<p>Amy has described the ordeal on Facebook and Instagram&nbsp;describing the incident as 'scariest, most traumatising'.</p>

<p>"I didn’t know what I was going to expect when I managed to get it off, I seriously thought my baby boy was dead but instead he was standing absolutely screaming my name for help ; this noise is absolute torture and I’ll never forget how it sounded," she adds.</p>

A video showing a courageous British mother saving her son has many remarking on this fact. Amy Blyth was walking her son, a toddler, through what seemed like a park when he ran a few steps away from his mother probably overjoyed with the greenery around. The toddler's merriment didn't last long as he ran over a manhole, apparently closed. The lid of the manhole flipped taking Theo (her son) inside the drain. Without a second's thought, Amy ripped open the lid with all her strength and leaped inside the drain which appears quite deep. Fortunately, she can be seen emerging with her son. Amy has described the ordeal on Facebook and Instagram describing the incident as 'scariest, most traumatising'. "I didn’t know what I was going to expect when I managed to get it off, I seriously thought my baby boy was dead but instead he was standing absolutely screaming my name for help ; this noise is absolute torture and I’ll never forget how it sounded," she adds. The left-handed guitar, which comes in “competition lake placid blue” finish with matching headstock, holds special value as it was Cobain’s favourite guitar, and it was even mentioned by the singer songwriter in his final interview with Guitar World.</p>

<p>“I’m left-handed, and it’s not very easy to find reasonably priced, high-quality left-handed guitars. But out of all the guitars in the whole world, the Fender Mustang is my favorite. I’ve only owned two of them.”</p>

<p>The 1955 Mercedes-Benz is one of two Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupes ever made.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per Sotheby's, the auction was held earlier this month on May 5 at Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany and only those who were invited could attend it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a statement, the car auction company said: "A 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe from 1955 has been sold at auction for a record price of €135,000,000 to a private collector."&nbsp;</p>

<p>The statement further read: "The private buyer has agreed that the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe will remain accessible for public display on special occasions, while the second original 300 SLR Coupe remains in company ownership and will continue to be displayed at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, the proceeds from the auction will be used for a scholarship fund. It will be used to establish a worldwide Mercedes-Benz Fund that will fund environmental science and decarbonisation research.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe was the fastest road car at the time with a top speed of 180mph.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It was named is named after its creator and chief engineer, Rudolf Uhlenhaut.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Previously, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO fetched over 48 million dollars in 2018.&nbsp;</p>

Rare Mercedes-Benz car sold at auction for a whopping $143 million

<p>Mcdonald's is a fast-food major across the world. There are millions of fans of its burgers worldover. The fast-food giant does have its own share of critics due to negative effects of fast food on health. But this man would certainly not be one of McD opponents.</p>

<p>Donald&nbsp;Gorske, an American man, is celebrating 50 years of his unique affair with the brand. The Wisconsin resident has eaten a whopping 32,340 Big Macs as of last August, says Guinness Book of World Records (GWR).</p>

<p>The huge tally means that Gorske has been eating at least one Big Mac a day.</p>

<p>Gorske marked the 50-year anniversary by eating a Big Mac at the local McDonald's in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.</p>

<p>The outlet even commemorated Don's 50-year association with the brand by putting up a board outside the outlet.</p>

<p>“Congrats Don on 50 years of Macs.” read the board. The outlet even removed the letter D-O-N from McDonald's sign for Don's name to feature in it.</p>

<p>A painting by the world's most famous artist, Pablo Picasso called 'Femme nue couchée' has fetched $67.5 million at Sotheby's auction house in New York.</p>

<p>The painting, which was made in 1932, was a surrealistic depiction of his muse Marie-Thérèse Walter.</p>

<p>"Femme nue couchée," which translates from French to "Nude Reclining Woman," was estimated to sell in excess of $60 million according to a prediction made by Sotheby's.</p>

<p>It comes after another painting by Picasso called "Tete de femme (Fernande)" became the artist's most expensive bronze ever sold at $48.48 million as per Christie's auction.</p>
