The company was given the right to do so in 1994 by a US court but under one condition. They cannot split the items and should conserve them properly.</p>

<p>One of the items fished out of the ocean is an alligator skin handbag that has survived decades at the bottom of the sea. Tomasina Ray, director of collections for the company, described the alligator handbag, saying, "It's a really beautiful, fashionable little bag."</p>

<p>An 'other-worldly' moment was experienced by two&nbsp;pilots who claimed to have spotted many white&nbsp;UFO&nbsp;orbs while flying their jet which did not appear on the radar</p>

<p>The newfound seamount was given the name Mount Los Atlantes by the scientists after the fabled civilisation of Plato, which was submerged into an ocean by the gods as a punishment for the immortality of the citizens.</p>

<p>"They were islands in the past and they have sunk, they are still sinking, as the legend of Atlantis tells," said Somoza, who is a geologist with the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain (IGME-CSIC),&nbsp;in a translated statement.</p>

<h2><strong>How did scientists discover the mysterious Mount Los Atlantes?</strong></h2>

<p>Mount Los Atlantes was discovered by scientists when they were exploring the seabed near the east coast of Lanzarote on the Canary&nbsp;Islands' eastern side, using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) at depths of between 330 and 8,200 feet (100 to 2,500 metre).&nbsp;</p>

<p>The dive was part of the Atlantis project of IGME-CSIC, which was aimed at getting clarity of the underwater hydrothermal and volcanic hydrothermal activity in the region.</p>

<p>Los Atlantes was most likely part of the series of islands which existed during the Eocene, which was 56 million to 34 million years ago.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pwnies are a well-organised award, and come at the end of a nomination process. But the organisers said the award this year for CrowdStrike was a last-minute switch, "because… how could CrowdStrike not win?,"&nbsp;TechCrunch said in a report.</p>

<p>While he said this was definitely not the award to be proud of receiving, Sentonas was still cool about it.</p>

<p>In his 'acceptance speech', Sentonas said he would take the award back to CrowdStrike headquarters in Austin, Texas, and display it in a prominent place to remind that “our goal is to protect people, and we got this wrong, and I want to make sure everybody understands these things can’t happen.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>To ensure that the traffic moves smoothly, the North Carolina State University's engineers have proposed what is called a ‘white light’ at traffic lights that allows self-driving cars to help when there is a traffic flow and allow human drivers to understand what is happening.</p>

<p>Study lead Dr Ali Hajbabaie said that the plan was to get into the computing power of the AVs and understand which vehicles are where.</p>

<p>"The white phase concept incorporates a new traffic signal so that human drivers know what they are supposed to do," Hajbabaie said.</p>

<p>"Red lights will still mean stop. Green lights will still mean go. And white lights will tell human drivers to simply follow the car in front of them," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The paper was published by Dr Hajbabaie and his team in the Journal of&nbsp;Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The team formed a series of computer simulations which helped in visualising how the new traffic light system will work.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"If at some point in the future we see almost universal adoption of AVs, our models suggest that delays at intersections would decrease by more than 25%," Dr Hajbabaie said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"More realistically, we will eventually see a lower percentage of wirelessly connected AVs on the road, but there would still be meaningful improvements in traffic time," he added.&nbsp;</p>

The white light will be an indication that the AVs are coordinating their movements through the intersection and all non-automated vehicles will have to follow the vehicle ahead. Dr Hajbabaie said that the system will improve travel time as well as fuel efficiency and will ensure the safety of everyone on the roads. "If at some point in the future we see almost universal adoption of AVs, our models suggest that delays at intersections would decrease by more than 25%," Dr Hajbabaie said. "More realistically, we will eventually see a lower percentage of wirelessly connected AVs on the road, but there would still be meaningful improvements in traffic time," he added.
