‘Melania, check your man,’ Ex-RNC head floats Trump-Loomer affair theory

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) head Michael Steele has warned ex-first lady of the United StatesMelania Trump of growing closeness between her husband Donald Trump and far-right Republican Laura Loomer. Steele claimed the Trump campaign was in for major setbacks due to his closeness with the big-time conspiracy theorist.

Steele also stressed that Trump’s criticism of illegal immigrants in Ohio over ‘eating pets’ claim may also have come from his association with Loomer. He added that Trump’s closeness with the far-right propagandist was hurting his relationship with many Republicans and also raising suspicion of an affair.

He also dubbed the ‘eating pets’ claim as stupid and crap.

“What is it about us that makes us so stupid we believe this crap and we push it out and we elevate it up?” he said.

Criticising Loomer, Steele said, “What is going on?” He went on to say that she was “grifting” and “making money” as “she's got access and she is all up on the president.”

The ex-RNC head said, citing photos of Trump and Loomer doing rounds on social media, there are rumours about their relationship.

“We have seen the photo, she is all up on her chest, we know what her deal is,” he stated.

Then, he brings Melania into the conversation. “Why are we the people, yeah — that photo, that photo — where is Melania?” he asked.

“Melania, check your man! I don't understand. I don't get why we are so susceptible to this kind of BS,” he warned.

Trump’s clarification

Earlier, the former US presidentclarified that Loomer was not employed with the Trump campaign, despite she having been spotted on his plane.

However, the GOP leader stressed that “She is a strong person, she’s got strong opinions.” He even called her a “free spirit.”
