<p>England captain Jos Buttler was highly disappointed after his team squandered a golden opportunity to win the World Cup game against India after restricting the hosts to a below-par total of 229. <p>Earlier, Chamika Karunaratne replaced regular captain Dasun Shanaka, who was ruled with a quad injury. A few days later, veteran Angelo Mathews was brought in for young prodigy Matheesha Pathirana, who sustained a shoulder injury. <p>Playing another world-class knock under pressure, Neesham scored 58 off 39 balls, hitting three sixes and as many fours. With 19 runs required off the last over and Starc bowling from the other end, Neesham was New Zealand’s last hope as they looked likely to create history in Dharamsala.</p>

<p>Although a four off a wide ball and three doubles put the Kiwis on the cusp of completing the highest-successful run-chase in CWCs, Neesham’s runout on the penultimate delivery buried all hopes, as Australia ended up on the winning side.</p>

<p>Commenting on the experience of this thunderbolt game, Neesham said, "Actually, that [2019 final] was the first thing I thought of when I was coming off, that it's going to look very, very similar."<br />

<p>Given how stressful run-chases can be in cricket, Neesham said though he would have loved to help his team win the game over the Aussies, he wasn't stressed about the outcome, having learnt to deal with it thanks to his past experiences.</p>

<p>"You worked for six and a half hours during the day, and it comes down to potentially two deliveries," Neesham said. "And four years ago, we worked for two months, and it came down to one delivery. It's just the nature of the game."</p>

<p>"I can think of one reason that I don't focus on the result as much anymore, but look, I think that's one of the things you learn as you get a little bit older."</p>

<p>Obviously, I'm probably closer towards the back end of my career than I am to the front. So yeah, it doesn't pay to stress too much on the results. I think everyone wants to win, and everyone's desperate to win, especially in world tournaments, but that can't dictate how you want to play the game,” Neesham added.</p>

Travis Head's maiden World Cup hundred sees Australia through in tight trans-Tasman clash in Dharamsala

<p>Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif has dropped a bombshell saying the national men's team players haven't been paid their salaries for the last five months. Latif's revelation comes at a time when Pakistan are on the precipice of crashing out of the World Cup in India after a string of disappointing performances.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Latif, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed players that the central contracts they had signed were now being reconsidered, which prompted captain Babar Azam to approach the governing body for cricket in the subcontinent nation.</p>

<p>Latif added that Babar was being ignored by the top officials of PCB as he attempted to have some clarification regarding the situation.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In the Pakistani media, many things are happening. Perhaps they are false news. I will provide you with the true news, which was kept on hold. Babar Azam has been trying to contact the chairman for the past two days, but they are not responding. He is messaging Salman Naseer (Chief Operating Officer), and he is messaging Usman Walha (Director of International Cricket),” said Latif.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Harbhajan went berserk over trying to impose his opinion on others on his social media handle. One fan replied to him with an old video of Nasser Hussain trying to explain how the umpire’s call works, to which Bhajji replied, accusing Nasser of speaking for the technology.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In that video, Nasser explained in detail how perceptions and predictions play a role in the Decision Review System (DRS) taking a call, disagreeing with Virat Kohli's opinion.</p>

<p>Earlier, Rassie van der Dussan was given out of an ‘almost straight' delivery off Usama Mir, which, after replays showed, was clipping the leg stump.</p>
