Bobby said, “I gave up. I started pitying myself and just took up drinking a lot. I was just sitting at home and I used to keep cursing and saying ‘Why don’t people take me?
Selena Gomez is done with social media. A few days after Selena announced her break from Instagram, the actress revealed that she was going to delete the Meta-owned platform over the backlash she received on her decision to take a break from social media due to the Hamas-Israel war.
On Thursday, the Only Murders in the Building star shared that she's 'done' and is now deleting her account from the photo and video-sharing platform. In her IG story, which she deleted later, the 31-year-old wrote, ''I'm taking a break and deleting my Instagram. I'm done. I do not support any of what's going on.''

Breaking her silence on the Israel-Hamas conflict, Selena expressed her anguish about the horrors, hatred, and violence going on in the world.

I'm done. I do not support any of what's going on.'' Breaking her silence on the Israel-Hamas conflict, Selena expressed her anguish about the horrors, hatred, and violence going on in the world. In a statement, Gomez wrote, ''People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific,'' ''We need to protect ALL people, especially children and stop the violence for good. I'm sorry if my words will never be enough for everyone or a hashtag. I just can't stand by innocent people [getting] hurt. That's what makes me sick. I wish I could change the world. But a post won't.'' oh well, your behavior makes me sick sometimes even though i love you so selena, the difference is huge when it comes to ukraine but whatever, i'm gonna post that statement that "won't change anything" while in the bathroom on the Lakers match 🤪 and btw you have two sisters pic.twitter.com/jg6W1ew7J4 — ~• oliwia •~ (@newyearsangel) October 31, 2023 × Selena later shared a snap of her half-sister Gracie Elliott Teefey and wrote: ''Having a sister, everyday has made me tragically sick.
Earlier this year, actress Sushmita Sen shockingly shared that she had suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty. Recently, Sen revealed that she had a heart attack months after all the health check-ups.

While promoting the new season of Aarya 3, Sen told the Hindustan Times that she shot an action scene just one month after suffering a heart attack.

Sen further said, “It was cathartic in a sense because all of the action that you see in the trailer was shot one month after my heart attack. So when Aarya gets shot, falls to the ground and she is gasping for air, in a crazy way it was like reel and real life, finally coming to a beautiful cathartic unison feeling. As dark as that sounds, I think it was a whole new beginning for me. Both personally and for Aarya on screen."

Further, the actor talked about her family history of heart condition, and said that it all happened ''so suddenly and unexpectedly.''

On Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, 7 inspiring quotes by King Khan about life, success and hard work

Artificial Intelligence has been in the spotlight throughout 2023. AI made headlines and was the focus of more and more conversations. Thanks to this rising visibility, the term 'Artificial Intelligence' has been named the "word of the year" by Collins Dictionary.

Conversations and more

As per Collins Dictionary, the use of AI, a term that describes "the modelling of human mental functions by computer programs", has quadrupled this year.

Alex Beecroft, the director of Collins Dictionary, as quoted by BBC, said that AI had been "the talking point of 2023".

"We know that AI has been a big focus this year in the way that it has developed and has quickly become as ubiquitous and embedded in our lives as email, streaming or any other once futuristic, now everyday technology," he added.

How AI made the conversations

Artificial Intelligence was all over the board; from suggesting recipes with leftover pantry ingredients to acting as a therapist... AI did it all.

Not only that, it also was a source of fear and anxiety for many. This was not limited to the usual reports of 'will computers take over humans', but also included warnings that artificial intelligence can be used to make chemical and biological weapons.

In March, more than 1,100 notable signatories, including Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, and Tristan Harris of the Center for Humane Technology, signed an open letter calling on "all AI labs to immediately pause for at least 6 months the training of AI systems more powerful than GPT-4." They reasoned that as AI systems become more "human-competitive" at general tasks, humans need to ask, "Should we risk loss of control of our civilization?".

There were also concerns about copyrights, as AI "used" work made by artists to "create" its own art. AI-generated deepfakes were also a cause of concern, with reports of the technology being used for propaganda.

Other contenders for 'Word of the Year'

Artificial intelligence was not the only word on the list. Its contenders included de-influencing — where famous people use their notability to warn followers against harmful stuff, and Nepo baby — the word for people, mostly in the entertainment industry, whose rise to fame is based on having famous parents.

Also read | World Health Organization issues warning, says AI in healthcare poses risks, could be misused How AI made the conversations Artificial Intelligence was all over the board; from suggesting recipes with leftover pantry ingredients to acting as a therapist... AI did it all. Not only that, it also was a source of fear and anxiety for many. This was not limited to the usual reports of 'will computers take over humans', but also included warnings that artificial intelligence can be used to make chemical and biological weapons. Also read | Godfather of AI calls for action 'before AI is smarter than us', warns looming takeover isn't science fiction In March, more than 1,100 notable signatories, including Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, and Tristan Harris of the Center for Humane Technology, signed an open letter calling on "all AI labs to immediately pause for at least 6 months the training of AI systems more powerful than GPT-4." They reasoned that as AI systems become more "human-competitive" at general tasks, humans need to ask, "Should we risk loss of control of our civilization?". There were also concerns about copyrights, as AI "used" work made by artists to "create" its own art. AI-generated deepfakes were also a cause of concern, with reports of the technology being used for propaganda. Its contenders included de-influencing — where famous people use their notability to warn followers against harmful stuff, and Nepo baby — the word for people, mostly in the entertainment industry, whose rise to fame is based on having famous parents.
Along the west bank of the Nile River lies the Great Sphinx of Giza, a majestic symbol of ancient Egyptians, and a source of mystery.

The origins of the limestone statue of the mythical creature who has the head of a human and the body of a lion have for years remained a head-scratcher.

However, scientists have now suggested a theory that may explain how the creature known for posing riddles to travellers came to regally perch in the Giza desert.

The origins of Great Sphinx of Giza

Some decades ago, in 1981, Farouk El-Baz, a geologist writing in the Smithsonian Magazine, theorised that like the pyramids, the Egyptians didn't create the mighty Sphinx from scratch. Instead, he speculated that the desert winds had a hand in the formation of the overall contours of the Abū al-Hawl, or "Father of Terror."

Now, more than 40 years later, researchers from the New York University have tested El-Baz's theory and there actually might be some truth to it.

How they tested the theory

Using fluid dynamics, scientists from the New York University (NYU) created miniature, lion-like landforms from clay. They deduced that it is actually possible that ancient Egyptians were inspired by the shape of a rock and visualised the Sphinx as we know it.

Led by Leif Ristroph, the team from New York University was originally studying how water eroded clay when they were "struck" by a familiar shape.

"We were struck by the resemblance to a seated lion or a lion in repose. And I was reading about this and came across the idea that perhaps even the Great Sphinx was one of these natural formations that then got, obviously, a little facelift from the ancient Egyptians," said Ristroph, in a conversation with New Science. Their findings have been published in Physical Review Fluids.

While the way water erodes clay and how wind may erode rocks are different, Jani Radebaugh of the Birmingham Young University, Utah, said that the behaviour observed by the NYU team is a geological phenomenon called 'Yardang' that exists in deserts across the world. She says that these Yardangs also exist on Mars, where the lack of water has allowed erosion to create sphinx-like shapes.

Ristroph and his colleagues are now working on developing a mathematical description of the geological process that may have contributed to the Sphinx's origins.

Manhunt for the bear Following the incident, a large-scale manhunt, involving wildlife officers as well as Police Department members, was launched. However, it was only on Wednesday that the beast was tracked down and tranquilised and later euthanised. Watch: Human dressed as sun bear? × It was identified as the same animal that attacked the security guard due to a distinctive white patch on its chest, according to CPW. According to wildlife officials, it was not clear what attracted the animal to the kitchen as it was “clean and did not have food lying around.” Statement from police Matt Yamashita, area wildlife manager, said: "During our initial investigation we gathered witness statements along with photos and videos from hotel security cameras.” "All played an important part in our investigation. Using the footage provided by the hotel, we were able to confirm the aggressive behaviour of the bear and identify unique physical characteristics of the bear that assisted in the proper identification of the offending bear," the officer added. Experts estimate Colorado has between 17,000 and 20,000 bears and the population is "stable and growing". (With inputs from agencies) WATCH WION LIVE HERE ×

The couple's mushy romance and cute moments from an hour-long show were quick to grab the internet's reaction. However, what raised netizens' eyebrows was Ranveer's first meeting story with Deepika. Soon after the clip of Ranveer went viral, netizens were quick to bring back the Padmavat actor's old clip from KWK's previous season, in which he described his first meeting with his then rumoured girlfriend Anushka Sharma. What is interesting over here is the similarities that both stories had, and that is what led the netizens to sit up and take note.

Recalling his first meeting with Padukone, Ranveer said it happened at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s house, where they were going to discuss the script of their first film together, Ramleela.

Sharing the moment, Ranveer said that he still remembers it very clearly when Deepika entered SLB's house, wearing chikankari white kurta, and her hair blew from the sea breeze.

Describing the moment, Ranveer said that Deepika was looking ''angelic'' as she entered through the giant doors of SLB's house.

Soon after the video of Ranveer went viral, an old video of the Circus actor from 2011 started resurfacing, where he's describing his first meet with Anushka.

Ranveer said that he saw Anushka for the first time at YRF studios when she was entering through the huge doors and then the wind blew on his face.

''The huge doors opened and the wind flew in my face and right in front of me is Anushka Sharma,'' Ranveer said in a 2011 episode.

Parva as a film that will be made in 3 parts, but will also be making this film in two languages, Kannada and English. It is great to have our friend, Prakash Belawadi as co-writer for our project." Parva will be based on a book of the same name written by S. L. Bhyrappa in the Kannada language. It is a retelling of the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata that is narrated through the personal reflections of the principal characters. The novel is widely praised and acclaimed as a modern classic.
