Hilarious, action-packed and just the sheer brilliance of the film’s style, all of which was something that was never explored before in a superhero flick. And to top it off, who better than the ingenious Ryan Reynolds to helm the title.

The Amazon original series is a refreshing tale of anti-heroes among the superhero fatigue that exists today. In a world where superheroes are idolized, this show gives an intriguing perspective to what would happen if supes, as they call it, went rogue and let their fame get to their head. It’s a story of good vs. bad that you’ve never seen before as a gang of vigilantes go head-to-head against the capitalizing corporates behind these rogue cape-wearers. Filled with dark-humour, gore and a whole lot of action-packed drama, 'The Boys' is a diabolically messed-up watch that you just can’t miss! Even more so since an even more invigorating season 2 will be premiering on September 4.

The Regina King starrer series 'Watchmen' is one of the finest adaptations of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ landmark 1986-87 comic. The HBO superhero drama series had significantly drawn parallels to recent events and is very much true to now, with its prevalent reflection of racial violence. The gripping narrative of these masked individuals examines how a society goes through a fallout due to ripple effects of a devastating cultural event.

Hugh Jackman’s 'Wolverine' will forever remain a fan favourite and one that’s definitely irreplaceable. The tenth film in the X-Men series and the final installment in the Wolverine trilogy, 'Logan' was the perfect farewell to the iconic character played by Hugh for 17 years. Inspired by Old Man Logan, the director and co-screenplay writer James Mangold vehemently captures the raw, brutal and intensely uncompromising aged mutant, who still leaves us in awe.
5 films that are based on popular teen novels

Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' and Ranveer Singh's '83' are the two high-budget films that are still waiting for a theatrical release, but looking at the COVID-19 situation, looks like the theatrical release will not happen any time soon.

In a recent interview with a news agency Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibasish Sarkar has opened about the movie release and said, ''We are 100% inclined to take theatrical route. However, at the same time, we don't want to delay the release further than practically possible. That means we will not like to push release dates beyond Diwali / Christmas. So the first option is to go theatrical if cinemas open up and audiences are back''. 'Sooryavanshi' was originally scheduled to release on March 24, while '83' was set to hit the cinema houses on April 10.

By further talking, he said, "We are looking at the possibility of releasing Rohit Shetty’s 'Sooryavanshi' and Kabir Khan’s '83' on the digital platform. If either cinema halls don't open or corona impact increases many folds and audiences are not coming. or in some states theatres open and some states they won't in those scenarios, we will have to explore all options. Either pure SVOD (video on demand) routes or TVOD/PPV (pay per view)''

''Basically, we will not like to shift release date further…. and ideally, look for theatrical or any other hybrid measure for the best possible release.'' Both of the films are produced by Reliance Entertainment.

Other films that changed their way due to the pandemic are: 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl', 'Dil Bechara', 'Sadak 2', and Akshay starrer 'Laxmmi Bomb' will also release on the digital screens soon

Director Christopher Nolan`s new thriller "Tenet" received warm reviews on Friday as U.S. cinema chains reopened with industry-wide safety measures aimed at reassuring audiences during a pandemic. 'Tenet' is the first big-budget movie from a major Hollywood studio to head to theaters since the coronavirus outbreak shuttered theaters around the world in March.

Ticket sales for the film from AT&T Inc`s Warner Bros will be closely watched as a gauge of how many people will leave their homes to go to the movies. The film opens in 70 countries starting on Aug. 26 and in the United States on Sept. 3.
'Tenet' got an 87% approval rate on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, although critics said its time-bending plot was so contorted, it was hard to follow at times.

Star John David Washington plays a CIA operative recruited to help the shadowy Tenet organization that is trying to stop an apocalyptic event. The Times of London called the 2.5-hour film a "globetrotting, jaw-dropping and delightfully convoluted big-screen blockbuster" and added "Cinema, finally, has returned."

The New York Times said the movie was enjoyable and "reassuringly massive in every way as a piece of movie-making shot across multiple global locations." IndieWire was less impressed, calling the movie a "humorless disappointment."
The Hollywood Reporter said "Tenet" has a lot riding on it. "There will be viewers scrutinizing every tweet, review and opinion aggregator as they weigh whether to leave their quarantine bubbles to see it," it said.

Theaters have been gradually opening around the world. In the United States, major chains including AMC Theatres and Cineworld Plc`s Regal Cinemas opened their doors for this weekend with limited attendance, mask requirements and other measures to reduce the chances of catching the disease.

The National Association of Theatre Owners announced on Friday that operators of more than 30,000 screens had agreed a standard set of procedures."Moviegoers need to know that there is a consistent, science and experience-based set of health and safety protocols in place no matter what theater they visit," said John Fithian, president of the industry group.

In the video, Kangana said, "Hello friends, I have been working in films from almost last 15 years, and during all this time... I was pressurised many times to join social media and I have declined a lot many deals wherein the only clause was to join social media, and I had let them go. People have been saying things about me because I wasn`t there on social media... even then I didn`t join it..." This is for my twitter family 🥰🙏 pic.twitter.com/KGdJPPWrQ1 — Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) August 21, 2020 × Sharing with the fans the reason for not joining social media, the 'Queen' actor said, "I never felt a distance from my audience" and shared that she had sent her messages of Women empowerment and nationalism in an artistic way through my films. "This year, I have seen the power of social media, and I observed that how the whole world has come together in the fight for Sushant, and we have gained success... All this has given me a lot of hope, and I have an aspiration that through this we can launch reforms for new India... and that is the reason for the first time I have come on Twitter...," she added. Looking ahead to the social media journey, the 'Panga' actor asked her fans for support as it`d be a "beginning of a new relationship".

he Sarajevo Film Festival will be launched entirely online on Friday after a spike in coronavirus cases forced organisers to cancel plans to stage Europe`s first in-person movie fair since the outbreak of the pandemic. Just ten days ago a huge projection screen was set up at a spacious open-air cinema and chairs placed according to physical distance rules. Organisers had said face masks and disinfectant at cinema entrances would be a must.
But a sudden rise in coronavirus cases in the Bosnian capital since early July following relaxation of a strict lockdown raised concerns about the safety of audiences, staff and guests. "Even though we were looking forward to the festival with the audience, we decided to kick off without it, taking no risk," said festival director Mirsad Purivatra.
