Indonesia’s Aisah Windy Cantika took the bronze medal with an effort of 194kg (84+110).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Chanu victory was monumental as it came two decades after Karnam Malleswari became the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal (Bronze) while competing at the 2000 Sydney Games in the women’s 69kg weight category.&nbsp;</p>

The four-time Grand Slam singles champion Osaka defeated Switzerland's Viktorija Golubic 6-3, 6-2.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After finishing the match, Osaka said "It definitely would mean a lot for me to win gold here, but I know it's a process. <p>Indian Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu on Monday said she was somewhat apprehensive and under pressure as the whole nation had placed trust in her for a medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mirabai Chanu, India's only competitor in weightlifting, turned out to be just the second Indian weightlifter to win an Olympics medal as she lifted a total of 202 kg. 87kg in snatch and 115kg in jerk lift during her endeavors across the competition.&nbsp;</p>

<p>China's Zhihui Hou stowed gold with a total of 210kg and made another Olympic record while Indonesia's 19-year-old Windy Cantika Aisah snatched bronze with a sum of 194kg.&nbsp;</p>

Titmus, nicknamed 'The Terminator', said that she is "trying to contain her emotions" after the race.
