<p>“With the World Cup coming around the corner and, hopefully, being involved in that squad and batting at the top of the order…it gives me good preparation here in the IPL to try and get some runs and have a little bit of form going into the World Cup,” Head said.</p>

If this is the case, he will miss matches against Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Considering all three teams made it to the playoffs of the IPL 2023, it will be a tough list of fixtures for SRH where they won’t be able to rely on one of the top spinners in modern times.</p>

<p>Sunday (Nov 26) was the retention deadline day for all 10n teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hardik Pandya made a lot of buzz throughout the day as he was finally switched to the Mumbai Indians, where he debuted in the cash-rich league. Thus, the star all-rounder ended his two-year-long association with the Gujarat Titans (GT) -- who acquired his services after MI released him before the 2022 edition. Several more players were released while a lot of big names saw them being retained by their current IPL franchises as the deadline day made heads turn.&nbsp;</p>
