During the shoot, we did see a few scenes for reference but never the whole film. However, a strange thing did happen when we were trying to make the film,” he shared.<br />

When the preps for the film began, Aamir's son Junaid had just returned from Los Angeles after his training and the actor suggested director Advaid Chandan shoot a few test videos with Junaid. “It became a test for both of them that way,” Aamir added.&nbsp;<br />

Aamir said he saw Laal in Junaid and went on to show the videos to some members of his family, friends and colleagues including Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani. <p>However, the film's scriptwriter, actor Atul Kulkarni and Aditya Chopra felt Aamir should do the film.&nbsp; "They argued that the film was not plot-driven but rather episodic and thus a newcomer shouldn’t do it. After long arguments, I finally bought their reasoning,” said Aamir and added that instead of Tom Hanks, he was influenced by his son's performance and even admitted that Junaid was able to get the mood of the character right and Aamir picked the same for his performance.&nbsp;<br />

Akshay Kumar responds to 'Raksha Bandhan' release date clashing with Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chadda' 

<p>The day has finally come! Fans of legendary actor Aamir Khan can see their icon step into the shoes&nbsp;of&nbsp;Laal Singh Chaddha and witness him tell a simple man’s extraordinary story.</p>

<p>Starring&nbsp;Kareena Kapoor in the female&nbsp;lead alongside Aamir, the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’&nbsp;is a Hindi adaptation of the hit Hollywood film &nbsp;‘Forrest Gump’. The film&nbsp;marks the Bollywood debut of south actor Naga Chaitanya.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is helmed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The trailer of the film was&nbsp;released by the makers during the first innings of the IPL 2022 finale. Aamir also shared it on his Instagram account for his fans.</p>

<p>The 2-minute-long trailer gives glimpses into the strong and emotional&nbsp;bond between a specially-abled child and a mother, played by &nbsp;Mona Singh. In the trailer, the mother,&nbsp;who is ready to&nbsp;move mountains for her son, is seen&nbsp;making&nbsp;sure that her little munchkin&nbsp;is considered ‘normal’ and behaves like other&nbsp;healthy young boys.</p>

<p>Then we see little Laal overcoming his disability and getting a spot in the armed forces. A romantic connection is also seen between Aamir and Kareena but not much is revealed in the trailer.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Aamir Khan fans will have to wait a bit longer for his upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ as reports suggest that the makers have decided to postpone the film’s release.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The makers want a clean schedule of the screens before releasing the film and with many films already having announced its release dates for January and February, Laal Singh Chaddha team is planning to postpone the film to April or May 2022.&nbsp;</p>

<p>'Laal Singh Chaddha’ is currently slated for release on February 11, which will be followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ the next week and then Ranveer Singh’s 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' will release on February 25.&nbsp;</p>
