The film features Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Sharing a picture with her `girlfriends`, Priyanka recalled the 2019`s November month when on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai she mused about wanting to do another Hindi movie 'ASAP'.&nbsp;<br />
"But it had to be the right one - different, cool, never been done before... I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call... to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!!" Priyanka shared in the caption.<br />

After the initial prep, Katrina headed to the UK to meet her family. Happy with the way the readings panned out, Gurmmeet informed his team that he is ready to roll with the project soon."</p>

<p>Confirming the same, director Gurmeet Singh said, "I am thrilled to start the project. For the moment, I am taking baby steps. Things have been [uncertain] because of the pandemic, but we will get clarity soon."</p>

It was later announced that the film would be getting a theatrical release during Diwali, However, it was announced on Thursday that the film will be releasing during the festival time. The film has been co-produced by Reliance Studio and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.<br />

The studio had announced in June this year that the film will hit the theatres on Diwali, while their another release Ranveer Singh's '83' will arrive on Christmas.<br />
<br />
Though the theatres are still shut across the country, they are expected to reopen from October 15 after the Union Home Ministry permitted cinemas and multiplexes to resume operations with up to 50 per cent of their seating capacity.<br />
<br />
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be issuing a standard operating procedure (SOP) for cinemas soon.<br />
CEO of Reliance Entertainment Shibashish Sarkar is happy with the government's decision but he is still unsure whether all the theatres will be operational by October 15.<br />

Given the uncertainty, Sarkar said it is not practically possible to release 'Sooryavanshi' on Diwali.<br />

"One thing is clear, we are not releasing any film on Diwali. No other decision has been taken. It is not possible to release a film on Diwali now. As of now, all cinema houses are not opening from October 15. Even if it opens on November 1, how can you release a film in 10 or 15 days notice period?" he told a news agency.<br />

He said the makers are yet to take a call on the new release date of the Rohit Shetty-directed film.<br />

"We are not sure whether we will change both 'Sooryavanshi' or '83' or we will just shift one film. It is definitely clear December to March is the time (to release films), this is the realistic timeline," he added.<br />

'Sooryavanshi' is the third film in Shetty's cop universe after Ajay Devgn's 'Singham' and Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Simmba'. The film also features Katrina Kaif and Devgn and Singh have cameo appearances.<br />

<p>A temporary halt was ordered in the transfer of contaminated waste from the site of the train crash in Ohio, East Palestine by the federal environmental authorities earlier this month, as fears of further contamination from the toxic waste loomed.</p>

<p>Hazardous waste disposal facilities near Detroit and Houston have been planning to receive the majority of contaminated soil and water from the train wreck site in East Palestine, increasing the risk of the spread of dangerous chemicals in the environment elsewhere.</p>

<p>Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Debra Shore on Saturday said that rail company Norfolk Southern was ordered by the agency to “pause” shipments from the wreck site but promised that the removal of toxic waste will be resumed “very soon”.</p>

<p>“Everyone wants this contamination gone from the community. They don’t want the worry, and they don’t want the smell, and we owe it to the people of East Palestine to move it out of the community as quickly as possible,” said Shore.</p>

<p>She added that the responsibility of disposal of toxic waste was solely on the rail company which provided the Ohio environmental officials with the names of shortlisted and utilised disposal sites.</p>

<p>From now on, disposal plans including transportation routes for contaminated waste and location will be reviewed and approved by the EPA, she said.</p>

A notification unanimously issued by the Indian Motion Pictures Producers` Association, Federation of Western India Cine Employees and other similar bodies have ordered that shooting for films, TV shows, digital and other kinds of entertainment format will have to remain suspended from March 19 to 31.</p>

<p>The notification reads, "In view of the epidemic spread of COVID-19 throughout the world including India, an urgent joint meeting of IMPPA- WIPFA-IFTPC-IFTDA-FWICE held on 15-3-2020 unanimously decided to stop shooting of films, TV serials, web series and all other entertainment, including digital formats from 19-3-2020 till 31-3-2020 as a result of health advisory, closure of all cinema halls, all sporting, educational institutes and entertainment events by the Government of India which has declared a medical emergency over the coronavirus. We appreciate and support all the steps taken by the Government of India to control the virus."<br />

"All units shooting till the stoppage comes into force have been strictly advised to follow all precautionary and preventive measures without fail. The decision about re-starting shootings shall be taken on 30-3-2020 after considering the prevailing situation."</p>

<p>On Saturday, media reports claimed that Salman Khan was continuing shooting in Mumbai for his upcoming film 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai' even as the makers insisted that they were adhering to all safety norms on set.&nbsp;<br />

<p>The frame then moves to Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi who is assigned with an important task of keeping the city safe from a terror attack that is being planned by the enemies of the state. When Akshay is able to nab one terrorist, he tells him, "Mumbai police passport pe religion dekh kar goli nahi chalati. Criminal record dekh kar thokti hai.”</p>
