Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was on fire with the ball as he made a strong comeback from injury in the second T20I against Australia in Nagpur on Friday. Bumrah looked in a great rhythm and bowled a sensational yorker to clean up Aussie skipper Aaron Finch in his very first over in the game.

Bumrah was sidelined for a couple of months due to a back injury and missed the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2022. The premier fast bowler also didn't feature in the series-opener between India and Australia earlier this week before making his comeback to take Umesh Yadav's place in the playing XI in the second T20I on Friday.

Bumrah came out to bowl for the first time in the 5th over of the rain-curtailed encounter. He bowled a searing yorker to rattle Finch's stumps and send him packing on 31 off 15 balls to reduce Australia to 46/4 in the 8-overs-a-side contest. Bumrah bowled two overs in the game and finished with figures of 1/23.

Impressed with his heroics against Australia, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria lauded the Indian pacer and said he will be breaking the toes of many batters in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022. Kaneria also pointed out how Bumrah was on top of his pace during the game.

"Jasprit Bumrah is back on track. Opposing teams must be cautious as he appears to be in great rhythm. While he started with a wide, it was over 140 kph. He then bowled a brilliant yorker to dismiss Aaron Finch," Kaneria said in a video on his YouTube channel.

"Finch couldn't stop himself from applauding the delivery. It is never easy to make a comeback after an injury. He bowled an excellent spell under pressure. He is going to break people's toes at the T20 World Cup," he added.

Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa took 3-16 in his impressive two over spell when most of the other bowlers looked ineffective against in-form Sharma.&nbsp;

Pacer Pat Cummins was the only other wicket-taker for the visitors and finished with 1-23.

Matthew Wade's unbeaten 20-ball 43 propelled Australia to a formidable 90-5 after a wet outfield in the rain-hit city delayed the start and shortened the game.

It was Wade's second consecutive impressive innings in the series.&nbsp;

On Tuesday, the Australia wicketkeeper hit 21-ball 45 in the first match to help the visitors chase down a mammoth 209-run victory target.&nbsp;

The visitors' captain Aaron Finch on Friday hit a 15-ball 31 before an impressive spell by left-arm spinner Axar Patel put a brake on Australia's scoring.&nbsp;

Patel finished with 2-13 and was the most impressive bowler for India.

Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah who returned to the team on Friday took one wicket for 23 runs.&nbsp;

Sharma, who was also player-of-the-match, said that Indian bowlers "used the conditions pretty well".

"You just have to play the situation and use conditions to your advantage," he said.&nbsp;

"It was good to see Bumrah on the park. Slowly and steadily he is coming back into his rhythm," he added.&nbsp;

Finch said "Rohit&nbsp;was brilliant" and praised Wade as "a calm customer at the back end of the innings" who "did a wonderful job for us".

The three-match series, a warm-up for the T20 World Cup in Australia next month, concludes Sunday in Hyderabad.

Earlier, a report in cricket.com.au said pacer Nathan Ellis, all-rounders Daniel Sams, and Sean Abbott will be the replacements for the injured trio on their trip to India, with matches to take place on September 20, 23 and 25 in Mohali, Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively.

The last time Australia played a T20I series against India, it was in 2019, where Australia won two-match series 2-0.

Marsh and Stoinis were injured during Australia`s ODI series against Zimbabwe at Townsville and against New Zealand at Cairns. But Starc, their pace spearhead, is a late exclusion from the tour to India after a scan on his knee in Sydney on Wednesday.

The trios absence means that Australia will have some changes to their desired playing eleven on tour of India.
