The original film had R. Madhavan in the lead role, playing righteous police officer Vikram while Vijay Sethupathi played the gangster Vedha. In the Hindi remake, Hrithik will play the gangster while Saif will be essaying the role of the cop.<br />

On Monday, the Mumbai Police transferred a a complaint of stalking and impersonation lodged four years ago to the elite Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Crime Branch.<br />

In the complaint against an unknown person, Hrithik had said the accused was allegedly speaking with actress Kangana Ranaut on his behalf from an email ID.<br />

In the past, the police forensic experts could not ascertain any facts about the email ID which was located in the US and hence filed a nil report in June 2017.<br />

Hrithik`s lawyers pointed out to Singh that despite the Magistrate`s order directing the police to return the actor`s laptop and mobile phone submitted for the probe, he had not collected it yet to enable the police complete the probe and catch the real culprit.<br />

Officials are hopeful that with the case now handed over to the CIU, the real culprit may be traced in the case.<br />

<p>The Academy has announced its new members list and it features Awkwafina, Matthew Cherry, Cynthia Erivo, Alma Har'el, Zendaya and others.</p>

<p>The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sent invites to 819 new members from the entertainment industry. What stands out among these new members is that while the number is down from previous years, it’s pushing the inclusivity bar with 45 per cent more women, 36 per cent people of color and 49 per cent people based outside of the United States. In total 15 Oscar winners, 75 Oscar nominees and five recipients of Scientific and Technical Awards have been asked to join the organization this year.</p>

<p>These have happened in the wake of #OscarsSoWhite controversy that started in 2016.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Making the announcement, Academy president David Rubin said in a statement, "The Academy is delighted to welcome these distinguished fellow travelers in the motion picture arts and sciences. We have always embraced extraordinary talent that reflects the rich variety of our global film community, and never more so than now."</p>

Hrithik Roshan urges youth to teach elders about coronavirus precautions

<p>They got divorced nearly six years back but continue to share a great relationship. Hrithik Roshan and his former wife Sussanne Khan have always maintained a strong bond even after their divorce and now Khan, along with the couple's two sons, has temporarily moved into the actor's house during the period of lockdown in order to co-parents the kids.</p>

<p>The actor took to Instagram to share the update. He posted a picture of Sussanne seated in the house and captioned it with a long informative post.</p>

<p>The `WAR` actor said that as the two share the custody of their children, it would have been difficult for both of them to stay separated from their children amid lockdown."It is unimaginable for me, as a parent, to think of having to be separated from my children at a time when the country is practicing lockdowns," wrote Roshan.<br />
