Dharmendra hospitalised

On Friday, news came in that Dharmendra has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Later, it was reported that he was doing well and had been admitted to the hospital for a routine check-up.

“Yes, Dharmendra is currently at Breach Candy Hospital, but there is absolutely no cause for concern. The actor is in good health and visits the hospital often for routine medical tests, which is the reason for his current stay. It seems that someone spotted him there, which has led to a frenzy among his fans, but there is nothing to be worried about as he is absolutely fine,” said a source.

The insider added, “Dharmendra undergoes multiple routine tests that usually take around two to three days to complete. Given that he is 89, daily travel can be tiring at this age. Hence, he himself chose to stay at the hospital and finish all the tests at once instead of commuting back and forth each day. His sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, who are currently occupied with their respective film shoots, are keeping a close eye on their father’s health and staying updated on the medical tests and the results”.

So far, the actor’s family has not released any statement related to his hospitalisation.

Dharmendra on the big screen

On the work front, Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) alongside actors Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The actor was also part of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani.

Dharmendra will be next seen in Sriram Raghavan-directed Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda. The upcoming war drama is based on the life of the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, Arun Khetarpal. The film also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher. It is slated to release in December.

Dharmendra will turn 90 in December this year.

It’s never easy being a public figure especially as a woman. Hema Malini encountered a rather uncomfortable situation when at an event, a woman came too close for comfort. While posing for pictures, Hema Malini was seen getting visibly disturbed as the woman placed a hand on her without consent. Several pictures and videos from the event have now landed on social media and people agree that Hema Malini has all the right to feel displeased. For the event, Hema was seen in an olive green and golden saree. Why did Hema get upset? In a video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, Hema was seen standing next to singer Anup Jalota and a woman. As they got ready to pose for the cameras, the woman tried to hold Hema by her waist. Hema Malini upset and uncomfortable with the woman’s actions, seemingly pushed her hand away. A man can also be seen pulling the woman’s hands away from Hema.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Hema Malini has courted controversy after she said the suspension of over 140 parliamentarians from the opposition camp was due to them asking "too many questions".

As many as 143 MPs have been suspended in recent days from both houses of the parliament. While 97 are from the Lok Sabha (lower house), 46 MPs are from the Rajya Sabha (upper house).

Speaking on the suspensions, Malini said: "See, they keep asking so many questions and display strange behaviour. So, they have been suspended. Their suspension means they did something wrong."

"Work should be done in accordance with parliament rules. They don't do it and they have been suspended. There is nothing wrong in it, this is correct," she added.

Malini, who represents the Mathura constituency in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh stated that the suspended MPs wanted to cripple Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.

"That is their goal, somehow don't let the Parliament function and uproot the Modi government. They are working so hard for it, but they won't be successful," she said.

Hema Malini birthday: From Rekha to Jaya Bachchan, Dream Girl's 75th bash was a star-studded affair

Veteran actor Dharmendra recently seemed to express an apology to his second wife, actress Hema Malini, and their daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, through a heartfelt message on social media. Taking to Instagram, the 87-year-old Dharmendra shared an emotional note, which may be hinting at him not inviting them to Sunny Deol’s son’s wedding. A few days ago, Dharmendra’s grandson, Karan Deol, tied the knot, and numerous videos and photos from the wedding went viral on social media. Though Dharmendra’s post for Hema Malini was brief and cryptic, it seemed to hint at the actor’s remorse for not inviting them, attributing the oversight to his age.

Observant fans noticed the absence of Hema Malini, Esha and Ahana from the wedding festivities. However, Esha, on her Instagram Stories, conveyed her well wishes to the couple.

While fans were decoding the family drama, the 87-year-old took to social media and sought an apology. Dharmendra posted a photo with Esha Deol and wrote, “Esha, Ahana, Hema and all my darling kids, loving Takhtani’s and Vohra’s; l love you and respect you all from the core of my heart. Age and illness are telling upon me, I could have spoken personally to you, but…”

Bollywood and its magic transcend borders! Ramesh Sippy's 1975 film 'Sholay' has attained cult status not just in India but also outside the country.

Now a series of videos are doing the rounds of the internet which show a group of Bollywood lovers re-enacting Sholay song 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. The group, reportedly from Iran, perform the iconic song complete with a Gabbar and Basanti in tow.

In the videos, a woman, clad in a green saree, can be seen playing Hema Malini's part and dancing to the song while a in white shirt is seen playing Dharmendra with his hands tied up to the door. There is also a man playing Gabbar.

Their performance, presumably at someone's private party, is so earnest that it has got the Internet raving about it.

میگن تمام ایران بسیج شدن ساقی این مهمونی رو پیدا کنن😱😤🤣😂😅🤪😜 پارت ۱ ( پارت ۲،۳ در کامنتها🤪) pic.twitter.com/Ep8btYJ6B2 — Sheri 🇺🇸 (@Sheri_happy) March 27, 2021 × Some fans have also tagged the original cast of the film- Hema Malini, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra - but they are yet to react to it.
