Hema Malini got too uncomfortable when a woman touched her during an event

It’s never easy being a public figure especially as a woman. Hema Malini encountered a rather uncomfortable situation when at an event, a woman came too close for comfort. While posing for pictures, Hema Malini was seen getting visibly disturbed as the woman placed a hand on her without consent.

Several pictures and videos from the event have now landed on social media and people agree that Hema Malini has all the right to feel displeased.

For the event, Hema was seen in an olive green and golden saree.

In a video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, Hema was seen standing next to singer Anup Jalota and a woman. As they got ready to pose for the cameras, the woman tried to hold Hema by her waist. Hema Malini upset and uncomfortable with the woman’s actions, seemingly pushed her hand away. A man can also be seen pulling the woman’s hands away from Hema.

Reacting to the video, fans wrote that the actress-politician was right and one fan wrote that no one “should touch or vice versa without your consent or familiarity." Another wrote, "Nothing wrong here. Even I wouldn’t like a stranger putting her hand on my shoulder. People need to understand boundaries and personal space."

Another user wrote, "I understand that people can get uncomfortable when a stranger touches them, but the lady seemed too excited. Poor her! Maybe she had been dreaming of this day for so long. Sometimes innocence can be annoying, but at the end of the day, she is just a fan who is trying to take a picture with her favorite actress.”

Hema Malini recently took oath as the Member of Parliament for Mathura for the third time in a row.

Hema made her acting debut in 1963 with the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam. One of the most beautiful actresses of the time, she was called Dream Girl in Hindi films.
