Looks like filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has already an alternate career option in place. If reports are to be believed, the director is planning to write a novel on his last release 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood'.

The film, which released worldwide in 2019 and earned rave reviews and several accolades was his revisionist story set in Hollywood of 1969. It was a fictional tale of a fading star and his stunt man and best friend living next door to actress Sharon Tate. The film won best production design and supporting actor Oscar for Brad Pitt.

"I hadn't thought about that until recently. But now I'm thinking a lot about it. I might be writing a novelization to 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,'" the director said on Pure Cinema Podcast.

The film starred Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie in lead roles.

The director, while promoting the film, had mentioned that how several scenes and plot points had to edit out of the final film so fans can hope that Tarantino would include all those elements if he writes the book.

Interestingly, the director has often stated that he would retire from filmmaking after making 10 films. 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' was his ninth film and with this news, looks like the famous filmmaker already has a Plan B in place.

Meet the winners of Oscar 2020

'Parasite' director Bong Joon Ho had his arms full of Oscar statues at a post-show celebration, after his social satire won the Oscar for best picture on Sunday (February 9), making history as the first film not in the English language to win the movie industry's highest honor.

Brad Pitt had an eventful Oscars 2020 as he took home his first Oscar for acting for his role in ‘Once Upon A Time in Hollywood’. His was the first Oscar awarded.

As he came on stage to accept his Oscar, Brad Pitt made a few jokes and a special mention of his kids that he shares with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. He adopted a few kids with the Hollywood actress and have biological ones too.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/hollywood-news-oscars-2020-the-complete-list-of-winners-for-the-92nd-academy-awards-279700">See full list of winners here</a>

In his Oscar speech, Brad Pitt took a dig at Donal Trump’s impeachment trial, "They told me I only had 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week. 'm thinking maybe Quentin (Tarantino) does a movie about it and in the end the adults do the right thing."

John Bolton was Donal Trump’s former national security adviser as he offered to testify if the Senate was to subpoena him. Portions of his unpublished book manuscript, released days before the Senate was to vote on allowing witnesses, included Bolton's words that Trump ordered him to help pressure Ukraine to investigate Trump's Democratic rivals.

See full list of winners here In his Oscar speech, Brad Pitt took a dig at Donal Trump’s impeachment trial, "They told me I only had 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week. 'm thinking maybe Quentin (Tarantino) does a movie about it and in the end the adults do the right thing." John Bolton was Donal Trump’s former national security adviser as he offered to testify if the Senate was to subpoena him. Portions of his unpublished book manuscript, released days before the Senate was to vote on allowing witnesses, included Bolton's words that Trump ordered him to help pressure Ukraine to investigate Trump's Democratic rivals. Science is out with its list of most beautiful men in the world and it thinks that ‘Batman’ actor Robert Pattinson leads all handsome hunks out there. Forget Brad Pitt, Bradley Cooper, Henry Cavill or any heartthrob that you would have thought would take the top spot.

The rating was done based on a measure of their "physical perfection".&nbsp;

Based on the Golden ratio of Beauty Phi, the actor who got famous with his vampire role in ‘The Twilight’ series topped all.&nbsp;

The list was compiled by Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva as he used the latest computerised mapping techniques.&nbsp;

The mapping technique measured the actor’s beauty based on his eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape and it was found that he was 92.15 percent 'accurate' to the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi. The study revealed that he comes closest to the ancient Greeks' idea of perfection.&nbsp;

‘The Batman’ star was followed by ‘Superman’ actor Henry Cavill who was recently seen in ‘The Witcher’ series. Henry Cavill has a 91.64 percent rating.&nbsp;

Third on the list is Bradley Cooper who follows with 91.08 percent. Brad Pitt landed at the fourth spot with a 90.51 percent rating and George Clooney is on number five with an 89.91 percent rating.&nbsp;

Other stars on the list included Hugh Jackman, David Beckham, Idris Elba, Kanye West and Ryan Gosling.

Top 5 Hollywood news today: Roman Polanski sparks outrage again, Madonna performs with knee supports

Brad Pitt just wanted to have ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow`s back and make sure nothing will happen to her after she accused disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein of sexually harassing her.&nbsp;

Pitt opened up about the time when he "confronted" the producer following Paltrow`s accusations.

"I just wanted to make sure nothing was going to happen further because she was going to do two films [with Weinstein]," People quoted Pitt as saying in an interview given to CNN.

Talking about how he confronted the producer, Pitt added, "At that moment, I was just a boy from the Ozarks on the playground and that`s how we confronted things."

However, he also added that the "dynamics" in Hollywood are now being "re-calibrated".

"I think the interesting thing is that we, Hollywood specifically, but the workplace, men and women`s dynamics is being re-calibrated, re-calibrated in a very good way that is long overdue. And I do think that`s an important story to tell," he said.

Paltrow opened up about the alleged incident in an interview in May 2018."It was weird. I was alone in a room with him. It was out of the blue. I was shocked," she had recalled.

The `Avengers: Endgame` actor even told Pitt about what allegedly happened at the time, saying the actor confronted Weinstein and told him to never touch Paltrow again.

"I told him right away and I was very shaken by the whole thing. We were at the opening of `Hamlet` on Broadway. Harvey was there and Brad Pitt -- it was like the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically," she added.

Paltrow told what Pitt had said to Weinstein at that time and said, "He said, `If you ever make her feel uncomfortable again, I`ll kill you.` Or something like that."

She first opened up about her alleged experience in a 2017 New York Times report.

Weinstein is set to go to trial in January 2020 for charges of rape, predatory sexual assault and criminal sexual act based on the accusations of two women.&nbsp;

Brad Pitt explains why he 'confronted' Harvey Weinstein after Gwyneth Paltrow's accusations

Hollywood star Brad Pitt has compared the infamous Manson family murders, which took place in 1969, to the 2017 Harvey Weinstein scandal, saying they rattled and changed the course of Hollywood in the same way.

It has been 50 years since actor Sharon Tate was murdered by criminal Charles Manson`s followers. The case is part of Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio`s new movie <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/once-upon-a-time-in-hollywood-to-release-on-august-15-will-clash-with-mission-mangal-237997">`Once Upon a Time in Hollywood`</a>.

While promoting the film recently, Pitt and DiCaprio opened up about the massive impact the Manson family murders had on Hollywood and the parallels that can be seen today.&nbsp;

Even though the murder took place about five years before DiCaprio`s birth, the Oscar-winning actor shared that his parents told him how Tate`s death affected the perception of Hollywood`s "Golden Age."

"When my parents described it, it was as the end of this idealized revolution," he told The Sunday Times in an interview published over the weekend. "My parents are still hippies, but it was the loss of this dream. As director Quentin Tarantino describes, you sort of portray this utopia, but there is mildew around the canvas that brought the darkness of humanity into play and ended a lot of my parents` hopes for how they could infuse that `love and peace` ideology into the rest of the world. It all sort of crashed and ended so much that some talk of it as a conspiracy. It was the total end of an era--immediately," he added.

Pitt, who was about 5 years old at the time of Tate`s death, also weighed in."People started locking doors again. We were coming off a tumultuous decade of assassinations and the free-love and civil rights movements, and, as I understand it, there was still hope. But when this hit? And even rich white celebrities were in danger? No one was safe. Even people living the dream," he said.

On being asked if anything has "rattled Hollywood" in a similar way, Pitt quickly responded."<a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/hollywood-mogul-weinstein-accused-of-rape-21257">Harvey Weinstein</a>," he said, later asking, "Can I say that?"After Pitt questioned whether his reply was in "bad taste," he was asked if he was referring to "a similar loss of innocence in a world that was cocooned and thought of in a glorified way."

"Like the Manson murders, it`s more that I think we`re getting recalibrated. But this time in a good way," Pitt clarified.

While `Once Upon a Time in Hollywood` is Tarantino`s ninth film, it`s his first film made without Weinstein as a producer. The two have collaborated in the past on several projects.

Weinstein has been accused of sexual misconduct by several women over the years. He has denied any allegations of non-consensual sex levelled against him.

Weinstein was indicted in New York last year on charges of rape in the first and third degree, as well as criminal sexual act in the first degree. He pleaded not guilty in June 2018, and his trial is now set for September 9.&nbsp;

While Brad Pitt`s latest release 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'&nbsp;is still running in theatres, the actor hinted at a possible mini-series of the movie. Pitt affirmed that the director Quentin Tarantino has discussed the idea of expanding the film into episodes including added footages.

Variety quoted the actor during his conversation with the magazine this week. When asked on Tarantino`s plan of streaming the version of the film, the 55-year old actor said, "Yeah he`s talked about it."It`s a pretty arousing idea," Pitt added.

While the film found itself caught in a number of controversies, Pitt believes that the episodic version will be more successful."I`m curious to see if movies last if movies stick around.

"What I notice about the younger generation is that they`re used to receiving a lot of information at a much faster pace, and they`re more inclined to watch a short series of episodes where you can stay in it as long as you want or jump out whenever you get bored," he explained.

Pitt also added that going and watching a film in a theatre is more of a "transportive experience" but also thinks that mini-series can give more freedom to each character. "I look at series where you can spend much more time on characters and story and explore angles you don`t always get to in the film," he said.

Citing Tarantino`s 2015 film `The Hateful Eight` which was transformed into a four-part mini-series, Pitt shared, "It`s almost the best of both worlds."

"You have the cinema experience that exists, but you can actually put more content in a series format," Pitt added.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood` hit big screens on July 26 this year and starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Pitt and Margot Robbie in the lead.

Brad Pitt hints at a mini-series of his film 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'

As Hollywood star Brad Pitt gears for the release of his space film ‘Ad Astra’ in India on September 20, he proved how briefed he is about world developments.

In an interview that has taken social media by storm, Pitt rang up the International Space Station (ISS) and had a list of questions for NASA astronaut Nick Hague. One that stood out was his query of Hague’s stance on India’s <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/pakistans-first-woman-astronaut-lauds-chandrayaan-2-mission-calls-it-a-giant-leap-for-south-asia-249133">Chandrayaan-2 Moon mission </a>among other things.

He also questioned Hague of life in zero gravity conditions and most importantly, if he had done a better job than&nbsp;George Clooney as a cosmonaut.

While the interview played out, the ISS crew previewed his film that has garnered a great review from all around the world. It will be his film after much-talked-about Quentin Tarantino’s film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'.

When Pitt started his question-answer round, Hague was heard replying, "Hey Brad, this is Nick. I've got you loud and clear. Welcome to the International Space Station."

Pitt started the conversation with a question on India's Chandrayaan-2 lander Vikram, as part of the country's moon mission. India's space agency ISRO was unsuccessful in its attempt to land the Vikram module on the Moon's south pole.

Pitt asked Hague:&nbsp;"I got to go to JPL last week and it was on the day when India was landing on the moon and the United States were assisting them in that effort. Could you see that from where you are?"&nbsp;

To this Hague replied, "No, unfortunately, I along with the rest of the crew had to follow along with the news reports.”

Then the US astronaut reflected on the importance of international cooperation in space missions like these. He said, "Things that should be easy, when you try to do them in space they just get harder. The things that we try to do everyday, the team on the ground, NASA and its international partners do a great job of making really hard almost impossible things look routine. It's one of those you can get some complacency. The things that we were able to achieve together is something special.”

"For me that the biggest thing that I have pulled from this mission the idea of cooperation at a global scale is what is going to propel humanity into the future," he added.

One that stood out was his query of Hague’s stance on India’s Chandrayaan-2 Moon mission among other things. He also questioned Hague of life in zero gravity conditions and most importantly, if he had done a better job than George Clooney as a cosmonaut. Welcome to the International Space Station." Pitt started the conversation with a question on India's Chandrayaan-2 lander Vikram, as part of the country's moon mission. India's space agency ISRO was unsuccessful in its attempt to land the Vikram module on the Moon's south pole. Pitt asked Hague: "I got to go to JPL last week and it was on the day when India was landing on the moon and the United States were assisting them in that effort. Could you see that from where you are?" To this Hague replied, "No, unfortunately, I along with the rest of the crew had to follow along with the news reports.” Then the US astronaut reflected on the importance of international cooperation in space missions like these. He said, "Things that should be easy, when you try to do them in space they just get harder. The things that we try to do everyday, the team on the ground, NASA and its international partners do a great job of making really hard almost impossible things look routine. It's one of those you can get some complacency. Brad Pitt asks NASA scientist about India's Chandrayaan-2 lander Vikram

Watching Brad Pitt hanging from wires during the making of space thriller 'Ad Astra'&nbsp;was so terrifying director James Gray says he hated going to work.

In the movie Pitt plays astronaut Roy McBride, who travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father, confronting a mystery along the way that threatens humanity's existence back on Earth. In an interview earlier, Brad had spoken to a NASA scientist and<a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/brad-pitt-asks-nasa-scientist-about-indias-chandrayaan-2-lander-vikram-250233"> asked about India's Chandrayaan 2 mission.&nbsp;</a>

Gray said he created vertical and horizontal sets to shoot the film's zero-gravity scenes.

Watching the&nbsp;A-list star hanging 30 feet in the air was "frightening", he said.

"I hated going to work in the morning seeing Brad in this harness, you know, basically flying around on wires. I'm always in fear that something bad will happen so that was terrifying for me," Gray told Reuters on the sidelines of the 2019 Venice Film Festival, where last month the movie received its world premiere.

The 55-year-old actor takes audiences to the far reaches of the solar system in his role as Roy McBride after a new threat causing disastrous power surges threatens Earth.

McBride sets off to find his pioneering astronaut father, played by Tommy Lee Jones, who went missing more than a decade earlier while on a mission to Neptune.

Set in the near future when mankind has set up living stations and research centres on the moon and Mars, the film follows McBride as he makes his way into the vast abyss through spectacular landscapes and empty space.

"I made a mistake by saying I wanted to make the most realistic movie about space travel several years ago but really the truth is we weren't worried about realistic, we were worried about plausible," said Gray.

"There is no rocket that can take you to Neptune in 80 days or whatever, that's 2.7 billion miles away. But maybe there will be. So, we tried to keep it plausible. And I think pretty much everything in it is plausible."

McBride narrates his history and relationship with his father throughout the odyssey, where he faces challenges as well as enemies in an inhospitable and lonely environment.

Human connection and the need for shared experiences is at the core of the movie, Gray said.

"I think it says that human beings need other human beings," he said.

"You know, we seem to be so obsessed with space and looking in the distance and sometimes we don't look around us on the earth. That's what I think the core of the film is about really."

'Ad Astra'&nbsp;- whose Latin title means "to the stars" - is released across Europe and Asia on Wednesday (September 18) and Thursday (September 19). It opens in US theatres on Friday (September 20).

SAG Awards 2020: Brad Pitt waiting for Jennifer Aniston backstage is all the love we need

Brad Pitt recently opened up about how his split from Angelina Jolie has impacted his character in the making of his new emotional space film `Ad Astra`.

The `Once Upon A Time In Hollywood` actor addressed his split from the Oscar winner in a recent interview with NPR while discussing his role in the film, which tells the story of an astronaut on a mission to find his father in the outer reaches of the solar system, reported People.

On being asked whether his divorce had an effect on his performance in the space drama, Pitt said, "I would be exploring it whether there was a script that allowed that or not."

"A breakup of a family is certainly an eye-opener that as one -- and I`m speaking in general again -- but as one needs to understand, I had to understand my own culpability in that, and what can I do better. Because I don`t want to go on like this," he continued.

In a previous interview with The New York Times, the 55-year-old reflected upon his decision to give up drinking, which came after his split from Jolie."I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege," Pitt said.

He went on to share with the outlet that he was moved by his fellow male group members in Alcoholics Anonymous."You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself," Pitt said.

"It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There`s great value in that," Pitt continued.

He also confessed earlier that he used alcohol and marijuana as numbing agents before their breakup."I can`t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn`t boozing or had a spliff or something. Something. And you realize that a lot of it is, um -- cigarettes, you know, pacifiers. And I`m running from feelings," he told GQ Style in May 2017.&nbsp;

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016 after two years of marriage and nearly 12 years together. Pitt and Jolie share six children together- daughters Zahara (14), Shiloh (13), and Vivienne (11), and sons Maddox (18), Pax (15), and Knox (11). &nbsp;

Brad Pitt reflects on Angelina Jolie split, says 'had to understand my own culpability'

Actor Brad Pitt took a trip down the memory lane and reflected on his experience of guest-starring in the beloved sitcom 'Friends'&nbsp;nearly 18 years ago and it wasn't a smooth ride.

Pitt revealed that he 'flubbed'&nbsp;his first line when he went for the audition, reported a magazine.

"I remember it. It's a great cast, man. I mean, they laugh and really have a great time with each other. But I flubbed my first line," the 55-year-old actor told Access Hollywood, as cited by a magazine.

"We had to stop and start again," the 'Ad Astra'&nbsp;star added. The 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'&nbsp;actor appeared on a 'Friends'&nbsp;Thanksgiving-themed episode, titled 'The One with the Rumour', during the popular show's season eight in 2001.

Pitt portrayed Will Colbert, a man who had a grievance with his former high school classmate Rachel Green, who was played by his former wife Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt's character Will, who had lost 150 pounds since his school days, was invited over for Thanksgiving dinner by fellow former schoolmate Monica Geller (Courteney Cox).

Due to his weight loss, Rachel didn't recognize Will and attempted to flirt with him. However, unbeknownst to Rachel, Will was formerly a member of the 'I Hate Rachel'&nbsp;club with her then-ex boyfriend Ross Geller (David Schwimmer). It was later revealed that the pair was also behind a rumour that suggested Rachel was a 'hermaphrodite'. Pitt and Aniston were married from 2000 to 2005.

In a joint statement after their breakup, the former partners said that their split was 'not the result of any speculation reported by the tabloid media' but the 'result of much thoughtful consideration'.

After parting ways with ex-wife Angelina Jolie in 2016, Pitt attended Aniston's 50th birthday party earlier this year. According to a magazine, Pitt and Aniston had rekindled their friendship, with a source sharing in March, ''Jen and Brad are still in touch and speak, but they're still isn't anything going on romantically between them''.

Pitt's revelation about flubbing his lines in 'Friends' came as the insanely popular sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Aniston recently opened up about how she missed working in 'Friends'. "I miss a lot about that time. Having a job that was absolute, pure joy. I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words. So, yes, these days I`m super nostalgic," Aniston told a news agency on August 6.

Starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, the beloved sitcom ran for 10 seasons on NBC between 1994-2004.

It followed the story of six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City. Cox, Schwimmer, LeBlanc, and Kudrow, all shared the same throwback picture featuring the cast of the show on their Instagram accounts in honour of the sitcom's anniversary.

Their posts were accompanied by the same statement, "Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. We might be in different places, but we are connected."
