On the first ball he faced, Azhar struck a four. But two balls later, he threw away his wicket, getting caught behind after scoring 56. Shortly after, Azam followed suit, falling for 76. 
 
Thereafter, the two new batters -- Fawad Alam and Mohammad Rizwan combined for a steady stand and made sure there were not any more hiccups in the session. They batted with caution and kept the scoreboard ticking with regular boundaries. They took their side to Lunch at 242/4, with their stand worth 45 runs at the time. 
 
The two batters kept finding the ropes after the break and soon got to their respective fifties before Azam decided to declare the innings at 300/4 in an attempt to force a result in the four sessions remaining.

Despite having lost half their side, Shakib Al Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto continued to show intent and lived dangerously. The pair smashed three boundaries in a space of seven deliveries before Sajid trapped Shanto to register his maiden Test five-for.

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has made a controversial remark claiming the Indian players were 'scared' and 'under pressure' even before the start of the game against Pakistan in the recently-concluded T20 World Cup 2021. India had suffered a crushing defeat by ten wickets against arch-rivals Pakistan in the opening clash of the showpiece event in Dubai.

The ten-wicket defeat was India's first against Pakistan in the history of the World Cup. India were on a winning streak of twelve matches against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup combined but the Men in Green brought an end to their losing streak with a flawless victory.

Former Pakistan skipper Inzamam questioned the body language of the Indian players before the start of the high-octane clash and said it was evident at the toss that Indian skipper Virat Kohli was under pressure compared to Pakistan's Babar Azam.

"I feel the Indians were scared even before the match started. Their body language, if you see Virat Kohli and Babar Azam's interview at the toss, you could sense who was under pressure," Inzamam said on ARY News.

Batting first, India got off to a shambolic start in the game as they lost opener Rohit Sharma cheaply on a duck in the very first over before KL Rahul was sent packing for 3. Skipper Kohli's 57 off 49 balls and Rishabh Pant's 39 off 30 deliveries helped India post 151 runs on the board. Inzamam claimed the pressure didn't catch up to India after Rohit's dismissal but that the Men in Blue were on the back foot even before the start of the game.

"Our team's body language was much better than theirs. It wasn't that India were under pressure after Rohit Sharma's dismissal. Sharma himself was under pressure. It was evident that they all were under pressure even before the match began," Inzamam said.

After getting bundled out for 151, Indian bowlers failed to pick up a single wicket as half-centuries from Babar and Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan win the game by ten wickets with 13 balls to spare. The victory hampered India's morale as they went on to lose their next game against New Zealand to bow out of the tournament from the group stages with two wins and three defeats.

Inzamam said the pressure after losing their opening game against Pakistan took a toll on the Indian team and they couldn't recover from it as they suffered yet another shambolic defeat against the Kiwis. South Africa's Aiden Markram slotted in at no.5 for his vital contributions in the middle-order for the Proteas. England's Moeen Ali and Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga are the two all-rounders who have been selected in the team of the tournament by the ICC. Hasaranga topped the wicket-taking charts with 16 wickets while Moeen picked up seven wickets and scored 92 runs for England.

The young fan perfectly encapsulated the emotions of millions of Pakistan fans, who were nervous in the dying moments of the semi-final against Australia. The 8-year-old said he thought Pakistan will win but was 'nervous' in the middle.

The 8-year-old concluded by stating that he would become the future captain of the Pakistan team and would invite all the current players to play with him. “I will make sure to invite all of your team to my team. We will go to the finals and win,” he wrote while also expressing his love for the Pakistan team.

Babar Azam responds to 8-year-old fan's heartfelt letter after Pakistan's exit from T20 World Cup 2021

Pakistan bowed out of T20 World Cup 2021 on Thursday with a five-wicket loss at the hands of Australia in the semi-final. The Babar Azam-led side enjoyed a stellar run in the tournament with five wins in five matches in the Super 12 to finish on top of Group 2 and enter the semi-finals as one of the favourites for the coveted title. However, their dream run was halted by Australia, who secured a spot in the final against New Zealand.

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar recently spoke about Pakistan's performance in the semi-final, in a video shared on his YouTube channel and explained why the Men in Green lost against the Aussies. Akhtar said it was quite evident that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam couldn't keep his composure in a crunch situation while the Aussies, who are an experienced side, didn't lose the plot and emerged victorious.

"You have to agree here that our (Pakistan) captain is young and new and in the end could not keep composed. On the other hand, Australia is a mature team and there they used their experience, culture, base to remain composed and did not get scared. Pakistan team, though, did not get scared but panicked," said Akhtar in the video.

Batting first, Pakistan got off to a brilliant start in the semi-final against Australia as opener Babar and Mohammad Rizwan posted an opening stand of 71 runs. Rizwan, who slammed a superb knock of 67 runs off 52 balls, then combined with Fakhar Zaman (55 off 32) to help Pakistan post 176 runs on the board.

However, Australia chased down the target with an over to spare as Matthew Wade (41) and Marcus Stoinis (40) posted an unbeaten stand of 81 runs for the sixth wicket and bailed Australia out of crisis to take them over the line in a pressure run chase.

Akhtar said it was Pakistan's best chance to win the T20 World Cup this year but their best was not enough to beat Australia on Thursday as Aaron Finch &amp; Co. entered the final with a convincing win.&nbsp;

"He (Babar Azam) is a new captain and I understand that but winning 5 out of 6 games, I thought this was Pakistan's World Cup to win. This could have been won. We might not get such an easy chance ever again. We tried our best but the best was not good enough for yesterday. The better team won," Akhtar said.

At the post-match presentation, Babar reflected on the dropped catch and said, "I think if we give such teams a chance in the back end, it is going to be costly. The turning point was that dropped catch. Had we taken it, the scenario could have been different."

Wasim Akram, speaking to&nbsp;A Sports, has urged the nation to not add fuel to the fire by targeting 'poor Hasan Ali'.

"What we don’t want is that the whole country gets after poor Hasan Ali now. I have been through this, Waqar Younis has been through it. In other countries, it’s just a game for people. Next day, you say well-tried, bad luck, better luck next time, and move on," Akram told A Sports.

The only thing is we and the ECB must walk together because it's important for every board to understand each other, their frustrations, meet the expectations. Pakistan captain Babar Azam agreed with outgoing India head coach Ravi Shastri on Tuesday that competing in bio-bubbles is difficult for players since it might leave them "disturbed and uncomfortable"

Shastri stated before India's last T20 World Cup game against Namibia that his players were psychologically and physically fatigued after six months of bubble life and that a lengthier break between the IPL and the ICC event would have been beneficial.

For the first time since 2012, India did not advance to the semifinals of an ICC event.

"Look they are always ups and downs in professional cricket but yes players do get disturbed and uncomfortable by remaining constantly in a bio-secure bubble environment,"&nbsp;Babar said in a virtual press conference before his team's semifinal match against Australia on Thursday.

"We have tried to counter that by working as a group and trying to support each other in the Pakistan team," he explained.

The Pakistan captain stated that it has been difficult for the players to remain in an enclosed atmosphere since last year. Since the COVID-19 epidemic caused disturbances, bio-bubbles have become the norm.

"As a player you need to relax and be ready to absorb the pressure. But at times when things are not going well you need space and you need to refresh, go out."

"If you can't get out of the bubble, negative thoughts do enter your mind and affect your performances," he explained.

According to Babar, Pakistan attempted to overcome the problem by working as a group with experienced players, even organising therapy sessions for those who did not feel comfortable in the bubble.

"We all try to talk to each other all the time in groups and help out each other by lifting each other and it allows us to relax and encourage as well," he added.

Babar also stated that he is enjoying&nbsp;the opportunity to represent Pakistan in all three forms.

Babar stated that the team's hard work and efforts in winning its five Super-12 group stage matches will now be put to the test in the semi-final versus Australia. The great hitter stated that he is not afraid to make tough decisions in order to help the team prosper.

In the list, DK didn't include some big names such as India's Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, David Warner, Mohammad Rizwan, Aiden Markram, David Wiese, Anrich Nortje, etc.&nbsp;

Karthik's team of the tournament had Pakistan's Babar Azam as captain. While he has led the team exceptionally well as the Men in Green remain the only unbeaten side heading into the semi-finals, some would be surprised that England's Eoin Morgan didn't feature as captain in the XI. To this, Karthik told on Cricbuzz, "Would have ideally liked Morgan as he has been the best captain for me, but has not done enough as a batter. So, I went for Azam."
