Badminton ace PV Sindhu spoke to WION after storming into the finals of the World Badminton Championship.
The badminton champion, who beat reigning junior world champion, China's Chen Yufei on Saturday,played down her semi-final win, saying her focus was on Sunday's final against Japan's Nozomi Okuhara.
Asked how she felt about reaching the semi-finals Sindhu said, "I'm happy about it but there's one more match to go, it's not over yet. I just have to focus on tomorrow's match and just give my best.
On her preparation for the semi-finals, she said, "Chen Yufei is not an easy player. Today's match also I think she played very well. There were many long rallies and she did not leave any shuttle and so I was well prepared for that. Though I maintained the lead, I think I did not take it easy because you never know anything can happen. Good game but I think my strokes went really very well."
"I hope for the gold. I think I have to be well prepared and do well tomorrow."
Asked about her chances for tomorrow's match, Sidhu admitted it was "not going to be an easy match" but that she would give her best.
