Hyderabad won its third consecutive match on Saturday at Eden Garden Stadium against Kolkata by five wickets.

Playing first, Dinesh Karthik-led Kolkata team set a target of 139 runs in the rain-hit innings as Hyderabad won the toss and opted to ball.

Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson and Shakib Al Hasan scored 24, 50 and 27 runs respectively to chase down the modest target.

Team Hyderabad have solidified its position atop of IPL 2018 points table.

For Kolkata, Chris Lynn played exceptionally well and scored 49 runs off 34 balls. His fierce knock included seven fours and one six. He was pushing the run rate to put up a mammoth score but Bangladeshi experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan saw him off in the 13th over.

Apart from him, Nitish Rana and skipper Dinesh Karthik played some good shots but enough to propel the run rate.

For Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the most economical bowler as he took three wickets by giving 26 runs in his four-over spell.

He missed the previous clash against Mumbai as he was suffering a sore back.

Also, Billy Stanlake and Shakib Al Hasan took 2-2 wicket each to restrict the Kolkata team at a low total.

Billy Stanlake was awarded player of the match for his economical bowling.

A big shout out to Manish Panday as today he displayed a magnificent fielding show by taking acrobatic catches to send off Andre Russell and Nitish Rana.

During the inning break, he told match presenter, "The amount of time we spend on field sometimes it comes off like this. I think the catch at point came really quickly and it was the more difficult one as there was no time for react."
