
Manoj Kumar Sinha's name is being pitched for the post ofUttar Pradesh chief minister,where the Bharatiya Janata Party won a landslide victory with athree-fourth majority.
Sinha currently holds two positions—minister of state (Independent Charge) of communications and minister of state for railways. He is also a member of the Lok Sabha representing Ghazipur.
He has been a member of BJP national councilfrom 1989 to 1996.
In the 13th Lok Sabha,Sinha was praised for a very high attendance.
In his capacity as the minister of state for railways, Sinha announced a Rs 250 crore package for the improvement of facilities and the expansion of Cantt Railway Station in Varanasi.
