Delhi restaurants gear up for Christmas with special menus

The capital has caught on to the Christmas fever with restaurants offering specially curated menus with a high sweet quotient for the festivities.
Traditional Christmas dishes like roast turkey and sweet potato casserole can be relished at the Taj's Machan, which has an impressive array of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights on offer.
"The specially curated Christmas menu is sure to delight the heart and soul with its array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies," says a spokesperson from the hotel, which has transformed their lobby into a 'Winter Wonderland' with innovatively created castles, and skating and skiing rings decorated with fairy lights.
Classic accompaniments like cranberry jelly, roasted apples with Brussels sprouts along with signature desserts like the Christmas special minced pie, plum pudding, ginger spiced pudding and textured yule logs, will also be a part of the menu at Machan.
Foodies can dig into a scrumptious five-course Christmas eve dinner, as well as a brunch buffet the following day at Kiyan at The Roseate here.
Curated by Chef Nishant Choubey, the delectable spread will feature delicacies such as 'Suckling Pig with Apple Sauce', 'Roast Turkey with Cranberry' and 'Maple Shallots', 'Ham Leg or Pork with Honey Mustard Glaze, Plum Pudding with Brandy among others.
"The dinner as well as brunch include mulled wine, a drink apt for Delhi winters, soft beverages and traditional desserts," says The Roseate.
Their signature Persian Plum pudding with Honey, Rose Rater and Rose Butter, Warm Apple and Cinnamon Pie with Salted Caramel Sauce and Caramel Ice Cream and Ginger Bread Mousse with Maple Jelly and Honey Ice Cream, are some of the desserts to drool over.
Olive Bistro in Gurgaon has designed a three-course meal for the occasion, comprising of a variety of items ranging from 'Savoury Roasted Red Bell Peppers', 'Scottish In-house Cured Fennel Salmon' and 'White Wine Poached Plum' and 'Goat's Cheese Cake', 'Spice Roasted Lamb Shoulder', 'Marinated Cottage Cheese Steak', 'Apple Wood Smoked House Roasted Ham Hock Terrine', 'Prawn Ravioli' along with 'Chocolate Yule Log' and an additional Christmas Pudding for those with a sweet tooth.
Besides serving their customary Indian and Pan Asian cuisine, Tawak in Noida is treating visitors with a complimentary in-house made dessert to mark the festivities.
Their decadent dessert 'Frosted Brownie Vanilla Icecream Salted Caramel Sauce' will kick off the celebrations, along with a special menu of over 30 dishes includes 'Crispy Waterchestnut', 'Galouti Kebab-Ulte Tawa ka Paratha' and 'Tawak Murg' among others.
