In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, police in Moradabad have identified 22 Pakistani women living in the district on long-term visas who have together given birth to 95 children in India. Though the women are still Pakistani citizens, all of their children hold Indian nationality by birth.

The treaty was signed in 1960 by the then Indian prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the then Pakistani president Ayub Khan. He added that the United States has become more self-sufficient recently. &ldquo;We have now reached a size and a stage where almost anything consequential that happens in any corner of the world matters to us. The United States is much more self-sufficient today than it has been in a long time. Europe is today under pressure to change. The realities of multipolarity are dawning on it. I think it has still not adjusted and absorbed it fully. The US has dramatically changed positions. The Chinese are doing what they were doing. We are going to see an arena of contestation, which is not going to be easy to recall. We are looking at a much more contested world, much sharper competition,&rdquo; Jaishankar said.

At the forum, the EAM underscored India&rsquo;s expanding engagement in the polar regions, noting that the country has maintained its presence in Antarctica for more than 40 years. India recently deepened its Arctic involvement with a dedicated policy and global partnerships.

<h2>Security review meeting held&nbsp;</h2>
Meanwhile, VK Birdi, IGP Kashmir, did a comprehensive security assessment in the Valley on Sunday, following the Pahalgam terror incident last month. Birdi held a joint security review meeting that was attended by officers from multiple security forces, including the police, army, intelligence agencies, and CAPFs, said a police spokesperson.
&ldquo;The discussions focused on intelligence gathering, threat assessments, emergency response preparedness, and inter-agency coordination,&rdquo; the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said on Sunday that the recent terror attack in Pahalgam constituted an assault on the entire nation, asserting India's readiness to deliver a "befitting reply" to Pakistan.

An air hostess was allegedly molested by a drunk male passenger on an IndiGo Shirdi-bound flight that departed from Delhi, the police said on Sunday (May 4).
The accused was arrested after the flight landed in Maharashtra's Shirdi airport on Friday afternoon (May 2) between 1:40 PM and 4:10 PM.
The police said that the passenger allegedly touched the air hostess inappropriately near the flight's toilet twice and behaved inappropriately.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep Sumer Singh, a government employee from Churu, Rajasthan.
Distressed by the lewd behaviour, the air hostess from Kochi, Kerala, reported the incident to her crew manager.
Following this, the security personnel were informed, and upon landing, the passenger was taken into custody, said the official.
The accused was then taken to Rahata police station, where a case of molestation was registered against him. His medical examination was conducted, which confirmed that the man had consumed alcohol.
The passenger, according to the official, was served a notice by Rahata Police.&nbsp;
The airline, in its statement, acknowledged the incident and highlighted that it remains "committed to ensuring a safe and respectful environment" for all.&nbsp;

The Amritsar Rural Police arrested Palak Sher Masih and Suraj Masih in a counter-espionage operation for their alleged involvement in sharing sensitive information and photographs of Army Cantonment areas and Air Bases in Amritsar.
Police officials revealed that preliminary investigations suggest the two accused had connections with Pakistani intelligence operatives, allegedly established through Harpreet Singh, also known as Pittu, who is currently imprisoned in Amritsar Central Jail.

<h2>Terror plot foiled on Amritsar border</h2>
The development comes after the Border Security Force (BSF), in coordination with Punjab Police, thwarted a terror plot in Amritsar district's Bharopal village, recovering a cache of arms and ammunition.
Based on credible intelligence from the BSF Intelligence Wing, a joint search operation was conducted on Wednesday evening (Apr 30). Security forces recovered two hand grenades, three pistols, six magazines, and 50 live rounds of ammunition.
The explosives and weapons recovered were handed over to the local police for further investigation.
This comes after assailants shot Gangster Ravneet Singh alias Sone Mote in Amritsar's Kathianwala Bazaar on Tuesday (Apr 29).
"Two men shot a man called Ravneet Singh. We have reached the spot and an investigation is being carried out. We have some initial leads and the culprits will be caught soon. He has been taken to a hospital," Vishaljit Singh, ADCP Amritsar, told news agency ANI.

"During integration, he told police that Seema has done black magic on him. Further investigation is underway," Upadhyay added.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural Amritsar), Maninder Singh, said the arrests were made after credible intelligence was received. Acting on this, police detained the two accused for allegedly being in touch with Pakistani intelligence operatives and passing along sensitive data, including images of military zones.
The accused had reportedly been in contact with Harpreet, who is already behind bars in an NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) case. Police said Harpreet had introduced them to operatives linked to Pakistan&rsquo;s ISI. Authorities now plan to bring Harpreet on a production warrant for further questioning.
